"Nala!" I called out, I pushed back a tree branch before continuing to look for the little rascal. Nala was a baby wolf I had found a year ago.

She would always escape from our home in the woods. At first, I had assumed she wanted to leave so I left her. But not more then a week later I found her curled up under a tree. She looked starved and dirty.

She was so excited to see me. She knows the way home now but she's been gone for a while and I was worried.

It was getting colder and darker. I kept trudging through the woods, looking for any sign of Nala. I passed a cave but paused when I heard a whimper.

I cautiously took a few steps towards the cave.

"Nala?" I questioned. I saw two familiar eyes appear and the next thing I know, I was tackled.

Nala licked my face and whimpered.

"Hi, hun hi. Calm down I'm here," I cooed, she calmed down and went to happily wagging her tail in her lap. I smiled down at her before putting her in my pocket and standing up.

She was tiny so she fit comfortably in my pockets. I paused as I realized that I had no clue where I was.

"Uh oh." a loud growl was heard from behind me. Before I could turn towards it I was tackled again. But this time not by a loving wolf, but this time, an aggressive extremely pissed off wolf.

I help the wolf up with my arms, keeping it as far away from my face as possible. I screamed out in pain as it bit my arm.

Nala whimpered in my pocket, I felt her shake. I thought it was over for me until the wolf on top of me was knocked off.

I laid on my back gasping, my arm burned. I pushed myself up with my good arm and looked at the other wolves.

The smaller one of the two was underneath the taller one, the one that attacked me. It had blood running down its side. I looked around and saw two large rocks.

I stood up and picked the smaller of the two rocks up, I almost screamed from the pain but I kept pushing. I raised it as high as I could and slammed it onto the other rock.

It made a gun like sound ring through the woods, this caused the bigger wolf to almost instantly run away.

I collapsed against a rock, my breath was ragged and shallow. I felt a small tug on my sleeve. I opened one eye and saw Nala tugging at my sweater.

I tried to get up but was too weak. I felt myself slowly going into unconsciousness. The last thing I heard was Nala yipping

Pain.

There was a burning feeling going throughout my body. The first thing that left my mouth was a scream. It was more of a strangled scream though. I felt something press down on my stomach.

It was tiny but it hurt. I tried to move but I felt something else keep me in place. I stopped struggling and focused on calming myself down.

After a few painful seconds, I slowly opened my eyes and was greeted by Nala. She yipped happily and started licking my face. I smiled and was about to say something when she was picked up by the scruff.

I watched the smaller wolf from early set her down next to me. He looked at me before walking towards my face and sniffing me.

"Did you bring me back home?" I questioned, looking at the wolf. The wolf nodded before laying down next to me. It set its head on my shoulder and closed its eyes. I observed the wolf and saw it was wearing a red jacket? Why is a wolf wearing a jacket? I shrugged the thought off as I yawned.

Nala trotted over to the other wolf and jumped on top of it. I giggled as the wolf growled and opened one eye. It seemed to calm down seeing that it was only Nala.

I scratched Nalas head before looking at back at the other one.

"Do you have a name?" I whispered, seeing Nala had fallen asleep. The wolf opened one its eyes and looked at me for a few seconds before shaking its head. I made a thoughtful noise and then asked another question, "Are you a boy?" The wolf shook its head yes.

I thought for another moment before looking back at the fox.

"Sans," I said finally, "Can I call you Sans?" the wolf thought about it for a moment before nodding. I smiled and scratched its head.

"Thanks, Sans. Goodnight." I said, chasing that comment with a yawn. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I was out.
