Geno x Scared! Reader

I hummed to myself as I strolled through the aisle in the corner store. I got a random craving for (Fav snack). So I decided to go four blocks and get some. It was a nice night so I didn't take the bus.

I found my snack and grabbed it before heading to the counter. I smiled at the emotionless worker as he told my amount and I paid. I took the bag containing my food and left.

I put my phone and money in my pocket before heading on my four block journey to my apartment. I would have taken the bus but there wasn't one for another 20 minutes.

I listened to the cars whiz by. It was peaceful but honestly, I was a bit scared. I never liked walking at night too much but I had decided to anyway.

I paused at a crosswalk to let a car pass. But instead of passing, it stopped in the middle of the crosswalk.

"Hey baby!" a voice called. I felt my eyes go wide and my face went red. I didn't say anything and kept my eyes down at my feet.

"Oh come on! Give us a smile doll!" the entire car started to laugh and continue their comments. I felt my eyes get watery and tears started to fall.

"Excuse me! Some of us need to go places." A voice said, clearly upset. The car said a few more comments before speeding off.

I stood there for a few seconds, trying to gain my composure. Tears kept falling.

"Hey. You can go now." the person said. I refused to look up, "Hey are you o- Why are you crying please stop." The voiced said, changing from calm to panicked. I giggled a little and started wiping my tears.

I looked up at the person only to see a skeleton with a large cut through his torso. I started freaking out again. He noticed this and jumped a little.

"Don't worry! Sorry to scare you! It's noth-"

"Does-does it hurt?" I asked. I was terrified but I still cared. It seemed bad. He looked at his cut and then back at me.

"No. Not anymore. I'm sorry for scaring you. I tend not to leave my house because of this." He said, looking away.

"It-its fine. I'm just a bit jumpy." I replied. Sniffling. He looked me in the eyes and gave me a kind smile.

"Would you like me to walk you home?" he asked. I debated it for a second. He could be a creepy guy who's trying to kill me, or he could be nice. I decided to think the last one and nodded.

"Please." He smiled and chuckled a bit, gesturing for me to show him the way. I started walking and he fell into stride next to me.

"I'm (Y/n)."

"Geno. Nice to meet you. Hey, how come you were out here anyway?" I thought for a moment.

'Oh!" I remembered, holding up my bag, "I wanted (fav snack)." I replied, blushing at how stupid it seemed.

He must have thought so too because he laughed. "Really?" I nodded shyly and looked away. The rest of the walk was filled with us questioning each other and him making some puns.

I stopped in front of my house. I turned to Geno.

"This is it," I said, smiling at him. He smiled back.

"I'm glad I could walk you home. Some people are pretty creepy." I nodded in agreement.

"Thanks, Geno," I said after a few minutes of silence. He smiled and nodded before turning and waving his hand, opening a hole of white light.

"Bye! Be careful." He said, jumping through. I stood frozen for a few seconds before shaking my head and heading inside.

I never walked home by myself from then on.
