"So, blood is this red liquid thing that runs through veins," Y/n showed their blue veins to Peridot as the two sat on the floor of the barn, "It's where all the oxygen and nutrience travel through the body,"
"Hmm," Peridot picked up Y/n's arm an examined it by leaning in closely and closing one eye, "But the veins are blue, how can blood be red?"
"Before the blood is exposed to oxygen, it's blue. When it comes to contact with oxygen, it's red," Y/n explained
"I want to see it," Peridot said
"No, blood stays in my body," Y/n said told as they took back their arm, "That was our deal,"
"But doesn't blood get dirty? How is it cleaned if it does not leave the body? How do you get new blood into your body?" Peridot questioned
"Well, there are two organs back here," Y/n reached to their back, "They're called kidneys, they clean the blood... and blood makes more of itself,"
"Can I see these.... kidneys?" Peridot asked
"Even more no," Y/n chuckled
"Allow me to propose a hypothetical situation," Peridot said
"Okay?" Y/n raised an eyebrow
"If you had to show me one, would it be your blood or your kidneys?" Peridot asked
"Blood," Y/n answered immediately
"Hmm, very interesting," Peridot tapped her chin
"Y/n, it's getting late," Garnet told, "You have school tomorrow so it would best if I got you home,"
"Ah, right," Y/n nodded as they stood up from the floor with Peridot
"No! The Y/n may not leave yet! I am still conducting research!" Peridot yelled as she grabbed onto Y/n's hand tightly
"Peridot, Y/n has to rest. They have an important place to be tomorrow," Garnet informed
"Did you not pay attention to my presentation?! The planet will be destroyed if we do not work quickly! What is more important than stopping Earth's destruction?!" Peridot reminded
"How's examining Y/n gonna help stop the Cluster?" Steven asked
"Er- That's classified information!" Peridot yelped
"Peri, I'll be back tomorrow afternoon, alright?" Y/n assured, "We'll continue then,"
"But where are you going?" Peridot questioned
"My house," Y/n said, "Living area, whatever you want to call it,"
"You do not reside with the Crystal Gems?" Peridot asked
"Nope, I've got my own place," Y/n told
"Then I shall come with you!" Peridot said proudly
"No, you have to stay here where we can watch you," Garnet said
"Listen, I'll meet you at the barn as soon as I can tomorrow, I know how to get here," Y/n assured
"What "important place" do you have to be tomorrow?" Peridot questioned
"It's called school, I go and learn stuff," Y/n told, "I'll see you later,"
"Wait! Allow me five more minutes!" Peridot pleaded
"You can see Y/n tomorrow, Peridot," Garnet told, "Let's go, Y/n,"
"Coming," Y/n said as they stretched their back, "See ya later, Peridot," Y/n waved
