Chapter 13

Maui's POV

A week later... Te Fiti...

   Moana and I arriving to Te Fiti as we speak. Both of us are incredibly nervous. Even though Te Fiti forgave me for my mistake of stealing her heart in an attempt to win over the humans, it's not like we're BFFs. I really hope that she'll give us a positive answer to this. I can't bear the thought of Moana aging before my very eyes and then losing her to death far too soon. I've never fallen truly in love with any girl before her. All the girls before her were just meaningless flings that never lasted longer than a few weeks. Moana is the first girl I've been with that I can see having an actual future with. As we pull into Te Fiti, I dock the boat while letting Moana take the lead in speaking to Te Fiti. I'll speak when needed, but otherwise it's on Moana. I'm not putting it on Moana out of laziness, I'm putting it on Moana because Te Fiti adores her. I don't blame her, it's next to impossible not to adore Moana. 

  Te Fiti notices our presence immediately and begins to wake up, the ground shaking slightly while she does so. Moana begins to tumble over so I catch her before she falls. She blushes adorably and thanks me for catching her. I wink at her and gently nudge her in the direction of Te Fiti. "Te Fiti, Maui and I are sorry to disturb you, but there's something important that we need to ask you." She looks at us with curiousity, motioning for Moana to continue speaking. Moana glances back at me before doing so. "You see, Maui and I have become quite close..." Te Fiti then shifts her gaze onto me and gives me an expression that reads "I knew it all long and I told you so." I blush and smile shyly. I notice Moana's beginning to get nervous so I take it as my cue to step in. "Te Fiti, you were right. I fell for Moana... quite hard actually. Her and I just got together. We really love each other... but there's one small problem. I'm pretty sure you know what it is."

   Te Fiti nods while frowning slightly. "Te Fiti, is there any way Moana can become immortal?" Te Fiti lifts a finger, indicating that there is indeed a way from Moana to become immortal like me. Moana gasps and asks "What is it?" Te Fiti creates a picture of what appears to be of us getting married. "Te Fiti, are you saying that if I propose to Moana one day and we get married, then through marriage she will become immortal as well?" Te Fiti nods and grins form on both of our faces. Moana jumps into my arms. "Maui, this is wonderful news! We can be together forever... well as long as I don't die before we get married." I hold her close to me. "Don't you even think about dying on me before we get married one day. You and I are going to live forever and be so very happy together." 

    Te Fiti smiles at us fondly. Moana then jumps up to give her a hug, which Te Fiti gladly returns and even presses a kiss to her forehead. Te Fiti then gives me a hug, though she doesn't kiss me because I still have to prove myself to her a bit more before earning that privilege. Before we part ways, Te Fiti makes sure to tell me that I better take care of Moana because she's a special girl. I smile at her sincerely. "Te Fiti, I really do love her. I'm not tricking her into doing anything for me. I'll be honest, I've broken a lot of girls hearts of my lifetime, but I don't plan on doing that to Moana. I can actually picture myself having a future with her. I think that says a lot. Moana's making me a better man. Hopefully you and everyone else can see that in due time." Te Fiti looks at me like she's impressed by both my true affection for Moana and my ballsy attitude. 

   Moana and I then head back to the boat, sailing to my island, which fills me with both excitement and dread. Excitement because Moana and I can start our relationship out right but dread because there are a few painful reminders of my mistakes on the island. 

Hoped that you guys liked this chapter! I got a burst of energy today and decided to update. I may not be able to update tomorrow, but I'm not a hundred percent certain on that yet. Also,  EpicHistoriesorNot is translating my Disney University fanfic into a French version which is really cool.
