This is Kali the day she met Chia-Jung.

Chia-jung's POV

I couldn't get to sleep to save my life after we got back from the restaurant.

I sat up to find Korra soundly asleep.

"Hey Chia?"

Ok so maybe she wasn't asleep.

"Yea?"

"What is it like not remembering stuff?" She didn't even appear to move.

"It sucks. Its like you have to solve a puzzle and put the pieces together, but in my case I'm doing it in the dark. Since no one knows who I am except Katara." I looked out the window and saw the moon was shining bright. "I want to make a life for myself but nothing adds up the things I know or the things I feel."

"What do you feel?" She shifted a little bit.

"Scared and alone."

"You're not alone."

"I know everyone is working so hard to make me feel welcome but I can't help but think this isn't where I'm supposed to be. Like I'm trapped with a burden I don't know."

"I get being trapped. I'm stuck being the Avatar." Some reason that statement peaked my interest. "Now don't get me wrong I love being the Avatar and being able to bend multiple elements, but everyone expects so much from me. They want me to live up to Aang and act like him. But I'm not him." She suddenly moved to where she was sitting up. "I know I'm the reincarnation of him but I'm also my own person. So why don't people see that?"

"People like things to be great. So much so that they want those great things to stay the same. Even though they don't realize the change may be even greater." I looked down at my hands and I felt weird about saying those words kinda like someone had said them to me before.

"I guess they will just have to see change can be good for themselves." Korra sounded a lot more relaxed now like someone took a huge weight of her shoulders.

"Yea. Hey I'm gonna go outside and get some air." I slowly got up and walked out of our room. As soon as I walked into the hallway I crashed into Jinora. "Hey."

"Hi. What are you doing up?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing." I looked around but there wasn't any one else on the halls again. "I couldn't sleep so I was going to take a walk."

"I was going to go meditate. The moon at its highest peak in the sky strengthens the bond to the spirit world to ours which makes this the best time to meditate." We began to walk with each other outside and we sat under a gazebo that the wind gently blew through our hair.

"Do you mind if I sit with you?" I asked as she sat down on the ground.

"Go a head." She scooted over a bit before she patted the ground next to her.

I carefully sat down and looked at the waves dance. Suddenly my eyes began to grow heavy. I decided to try meditating so I began to do what Jinora was doing and shortly the world felt like it drifted away.

"Just give in. Things will be easier for you." A male voice rung out and it sounded just like the last voice that spoke to me from the darkness.

"You may get tempted but don't fall for the lies." This voice sounded like a woman, like I knew this person on a personal level. "Wake up. Walk away from the voice and live your life."

I felt a sudden warming against my chest and a sudden jolt that woke me.

I sat up and I was still in the gazebo. The only difference from last night was Jinora is gone and the sun is up.

I slowly sat up. My body was on pain like I got onto a fight with someone or I just had a night of hardcore workouts. I looked to see my arms were covered with bruises.

I guess I should find Jinora and ask what happened last night.

I stood up and walked back into the temple where I found everyone eating breakfast except Chief Lin Beifong was sitting with them talking to Tenzin and Korra.

Maybe I can walk past them and talk to Jinora later.

"Holy spirits. Are you ok?" Korra shot up from her conversation and ran over to me.

"Yea just woke up."

"When I saw you weren't in you bed when I woke up I assumed you went out to run or something." She grabbed my arm and began to look at it. Now everyone's attention was on me.

"I was practicing fighting and it didn't go to well." I made up and excuse to I could leave. Everyone seemed to believe what I said, well everyone except Katara. I could tell she could see through me lie. "I'm actually going to head to bed. I'm really tired."

No one tried to stop me, but on my way out of the room I caught a glance from Jinora like something is weird about me.

Her glance made me move out of the room even quicker. No one bothered me while I was in the room. I was probably there for hours until I decided to leave the room.

The place was quiet until I got outside all of the kids were practicing their bending while Tenzin was trying to teach Korra air bending.

Korra seemed to be more irritated than normal. Suddenly a large flame shot in my direction. I put my hands up and my arms got burned while I was protecting myself.

After the flame stopped I fell to my knees and curled into a ball. I couldn't help but cry and scream in pain as the smell of my burning flesh filled my nose.

Korra seemed shocked to the point she couldn't move.

"Kids go get your grandmother now!" Tenzin yelled to the kids before he ran over to me. "Oh... These need immediate attention." He quickly picked me up and ran inside.

"Remove the robes so I can get to her arms." Katara said as Kya began to remove my clothes. As soon as they were off glowing water was being placed against my skin. At first it burned but then it turned to an icy sensation.

I began to relax once the pain began to fade. I didn't realize I wasn't crying or screaming any more.

I raised my arms and saw one had a burn scar while the other was fully healed.

"Why..." I started as I starred at my arm.

"No one was ever able to heal your wounds without them leaving scars. The fact I could even get one to not scar is weird." Katara moved the water into a vase. "I've healed many of your wounds. You even got one from saving my life which I had to heal. If I hadn't it would have killed you."

"I'm sure it wasn't the first near death experience I had."

"No but that was the worse one we had to take care of you with."

"What happened?" I couldn't help but ask because she peaked my interest.

"Ty Lee chi blocked you and Azula went to attack me you managed to use enough force to throw yourself in the path. The blow almost killed you. I had to have a more advanced healer work with you because I couldn't do anything to help you. Your wound just wouldn't heal with water bending. All the healing was doing was keeping you alive." She helped me sit up before she spoke up again. "Let's get you to bed so you can get some rest."

She helped me to my bed but as soon as I laid down I was out like a light.
