Immediately he got up from the bed, I knew but I still closed my eyes. Memories of yesterday came flooding back into my mind, the wedding, the reception, our lovemaking, especially, that last part of our day. I groaned and I knew I had alerted him to the fact that I was awake.

A few seconds later, I felt the bed dip with his weight. Pulling the cover over me, he leaned down and kissed my nose. I smiled and opened my eyes. Our eyes meet and hold, before mine roamed over his naked body. He was carved to perfection. Each dip and ripple of his packed ribs were more defined than I had imagined. I wanted to trail my fingers down the V of his-

"Like what you see?" His question cut through my imaginations.

"Depends..." I teased.

"On what? Maybe I should give you a better view?" Then he stood up.

"No!" I shout and bury my head into my pillow. Laughing he came back into the bed and pulled the sheets off me, and I shrieked. "Ovian!" I turned my body, giving him a view of my back. He jumped onto my back and began to kiss his way down. Tiny butterflies fluttered into my stomach and my body betrayed me as it trembled at his touch.

I could feel his member against my butt, hot and hard. I blushed. "Ovian." I breathed.

"Hmm?" He responded but didn't stop his assault. Then he turned me around and took my mouth into his while his hands kneaded the fleshy mounds on my chest. My body was on fire, and I couldn't seem to get enough. I wanted more. I lifted my legs and wrapped them around his hips, and I heard him groan. Then he lifted his head and said, "Look at me". I opened my eyes to see his boring into mine, icy blue and filled with so much desire. I was awed at how much I wanted this man. Our eyes stay on each other, even after he entered me and proceeded to thrust his way home.

It was a knock on our door that woke us up after the third time.

"Who is it?"

"My apologies, my prince, but the queen has requested your presence. She says it's a matter of urgency." The valet announced.

I lifted my head at the word urgency. Then Ovian responded, "Tell her I will be with her shortly."

"Ovian?"

He leaned down and kissed me. "Get something to eat, I will be back soon." He got up and went into the closet. I got up put on my robe and tied the belt at the waist. Ovian came out wearing a jean and a shirt. He came to stand before me and then pulled me against his body, "We have a lot to discuss. When I get back, okay?" When I nodded, he kissed me again and left.

I sat down on the bed, and began to think about what he meant by we had a lot to discuss. What's going on? What did the queen want that was so urgent? Oh, I hated not knowing what was going on. I groaned in frustration. I needed to talk to Taylor. I picked up my phone and sent her a text to come to my quarters.

It wasn't long I heard a knock on the door from the sitting area. "Come in!" I shouted, coming out of the room wearing jeans and a tee shirt that said, 'Don't Tell, Don't Care.'

Taylor opened the door and stepped in. Immediately, I rushed to meet her and hugged her tightly. She hugged me in return and said, "Anyone would think we haven't seen each other in 10years." I laughed. "How are you? I can see you got some sleep." She smirked.

"Yes, a little." I blushed.

"Oh, somebody, had a sleepless night." She sang. Making me laugh and blush all over again.

"Ovian was um great, I guess."

"You guess?"

"Well, I don't have anyone to compare him to!"

"Yes, that's true. Anyway, at least, you guys are getting along fine."

"Hmmm." I said and plopped down on one of the seetees in the room.

"What is it?" she asked as she sat down too.

"He was surprised that I was a virgin."

Surprised, Taylor asked, "He didn't know?"

"Well, he had never asked! Right from the beginning, he has always assumed I was a slut." I pouted.

"How did he take it?"

"Well, I think. And then the queen sent for him this morning. The morning after his wedding can you imagine? That woman is just trying to show how much control she has."

"Tania." Taylor laughed, shaking her head.

Just then the door opened and in walked Ovian. He looked angry. But as soon as he spotted Taylor, his demeanor changed a bit.

"My prince," Taylor quickly got up.

"Taylor, good afternoon. Hope you are well rested from yesterday's ceremonies?"

"Yes, my prince." She smiled. "I just came to see my friend and I see she is well too. I will take my leave." She winked at me and left.

I turned to Ovian who had walked up to the tall windows, looking out. I knew something was off and I didn't know if I should ask. I walked to where he stood and asked all the same. I guess my curiosity was stronger than my attempt to stay detached.

"What is it? What did the queen want?"

He turned to me, "It wasn't the queen that sent for me."

I frowned in confusion. "Then, who?"

He sighed, "It was Alex."

I gasp. "You said-"

"I know what I said. I-" he raked his hand through his hair. "Look, I will fix this."

I stare at him. "Fix what? You had your mistress waiting for you, while you were with me? What was the plan Ovian? You promised she wouldn't even be in the city!" I cried. I felt used. He tried to touch me but I stepped away from his reach.

"Tania, I am sorry. She's still here because we were supposed to be together after the wedding yesterday. Last night with you wasn't supposed to happen. I didn't think you would allow me be with you so I had told her to wait for me so we could leave together. When she waited and didn't see me, she had to come here. I had completely forgotten about her."

I shook my head. "I know our arrangement-"

"About that," he stopped me. "I want us to review it."

I frowned. "What is there to review?"

"I want us to stop pretending and behave like real husband and wife."

"What? Have you forgotten the real Charlotte is dead?"

"All that do not matter anymore. Right now, you are the princess of the Republic. Tania, last night made me realize we can make this work if we decide to."

"If that's the case, what happens to Alex?"

He sighed. "I will find a way to fix it."

"I don't want you to fix it Ovian, if we are going to be real, I want her out of the picture entirely."

"Done."

"Done?" Just like that, no resistance.

He grinned. "You are surprised. Well, finding out that my wife wasn't what I had wrongly thought she was, changed everything for me. I couldn't sleep, all I could think of was how great it would be if we could be civil to each other. We can work Tania."

I mulled over what he said. It was true, I couldn't deny our attraction to each other. Last night and this morning and afternoon, proved that. And if things are dandy with Ovian, he could help me with my cause. He would have more access to information than I could. I can use his influence and protection.

"Okay," I nodded. "We can try."

He breathed out. Then reached for me again. This time I allowed him pull me close. Then he suddenly lifted me, I shrieked.

"Ovian!"

"I am hungry!" was his response.

"Then go eat," I said laughing as he placed me on the bed. He began to take off his shirt and jeans, "Not that kind of hunger." He said, his voice laced with mischief and desire.
