People always made this statement, "Time will heal all wounds." But I think they are wrong. Time doesn't heal all wounds, at least not my wounds. For the past three weeks, I have successfully avoided Ovian to the point where he also has resigned himself to his fate. And to make matters worse, he's never around. Always traveling for business, at least that's what he says.

But I still miss him so much. Everything reminds me of him. The little time he's around, he spends in his study. We haven't slept on the same bed for weeks and I think its killing me softly inside. But I just can't bring myself to forgive him. The wounds are still fresh and I'm not sure if I will ever get over it.

Taylor is always saying trust is an essential part of a relationship and right now, I don't trust Ovian not to hurt me again. I mean its in his genes. He just can't help it. So for the sake of my mental well being, I need to close off that part of me, so it doesn't happen again. My mantra was, once bitten, a million times shy.

"Tania?" Taylor was calling. She snapped her fingers in front of me, "Hello? Is somebody there?" She asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

"You space out again." She said. I sighed. She was helping me prepare for the launch of my foundation. I was sitting in front my mirror and she was making my hair.

She squeezed my shoulders. "Tania, you have to talk to Ovian. You can't continue like this."

"And say what? I turned around to face her. "What do I say to him?"

"Just talk. Say anything. Say you forgive him."

"What?"

"Yes! Don't look at me like that, you can forgive him. Especially, since he's telling the truth."

"What if he does it again? How do I know he's truly stopped seeing her?"

"That's where trust comes in. You have to trust-"

"And what if he does it again after I have trusted him?" I interrupt.

Shaking her head, she said, "Tania, you and I both know there are no perfect relationships. And there is no perfect rule or instruction manual on how to have one. But one thing is clear, for any relationship at all to have some kind of success, trust is a very important issue. If there's no trust nothing works. Even if he fails you again, he is human, not perfect. If you know you two have something worth fighting for, and you are willing to fight, then you will succeed."

"Hmmm." I sighed. "I love him, Taylor."

"I know," she said smiling.

Of course she knows. "Is it that obvious?" I asked not surprised that she knew.

She laughed. "I found that out the night of your wedding. You were not pretending. But it was also obvious you didn't know yet."

Now would be the right time to say, "I told you so."

We both laughed. "Now get up, today is a big day for you. Lahran will be here soon."

"Yes. Lahran has been a really great help in making this a reality." He had helped with the foundation's registration process which had been taking a long time for its approval.

Lahran then swooped in and taken over, within days, it was finally approved. I had also been talking to some lawyers from the kingdom on how I can fill Charlotte's grandfather's seat on the council. How can the fate of a nation be placed in the hands of a group old men? No woman to oversee the affairs of the women? Other kingdoms have evolved beyond this, but the Republic refuses to. They want to remain the way they are, backwards.

There are over 45 charity organizations and foundations in the Republic and still the poverty level has not reduced. There was something wrong, either these charities were not doing their due duties or they are a front for something else. Anyway, I didn't care about what they did or did not do. I only care about what I will do through this foundation.
