Chapter four: Distance

[Heroine? Are you there? there's another bachelor waiting for you. He's been waiting for a long time for you.]

[Hold on....this is new. It seems another bachelor is appearing in your life. What a happy day for you]

[Dream}

"What you want to be when you grow up?" 

I was told by this question many times. 

I answer. 

"I don't know."

"You should settle down and get married." 

"I don't know." 

"When are you going to get a good career?"

"I don't know." 

"You don't seem like yourself. are you okay?"

"I....don't know."

[?????]

"What's the report?" 

"Her condition seems fine. The only things that she has is marking on her neck. Someone was trying to choke her." 

I hear two male voice not too far from me. 

I open my eyes and see  a doctor and a man wearing a collar shirt and tie with trouser. They were talking to each other. 

They glance at me upon my awakening.

"Please don't try to get up," the doctor said.  

It's a bit of a blur to see their faces.  

I rub my eyes and my vision became clear.

I look at the two man that are staring at me. 

I recognize one of them. 

"Jake?" I said. 

"How are you feeling?" he said. 

I look at him for awhile. 

I forgot how his face look like.

Jake had his black slick hair  with his emerald green eyes. He had collar shirt with a tie over by his lab coat. There's a stehoscope around his neck. 

"I've been better," I said sitting up. "um, why am I here? I don't remember being here."

I start to panic.

This never happen to me before.

I remember walking home. Someone attack me then.......

I remember looking at that guy. He was staring at me for awhile. I didn't understand why.  

"Miss, I need to ask you question, " a man in suit ask.

I look at the man standing beside Jake.
