That night, when Olivia got to the library, she saw her brother, Javier, talking to Tom.

And she cursed him internally.

Since the kiss last night, everyone believed that Tom and Olivia were dating, and they kind of were now. Tom had stayed with Olivia the rest of the night and had talked to her and her friends a great deal that day. Olivia was also getting a lot (and she wasn't joking) glares and death stares from girls in the school, particularly Slytherin ones. Not that it bothered Olivia at all.

"I still can't believe it," Eve claimed that morning. Olivia glared at her.
"You both have been screaming it for, like, a month," Olivia remarked.
"Yeah, but it's actually true!" Gabriella squeaked.
"Ay, mi Dios," Olivia sighed. She threw her head back, counted for ten seconds, then continued on. "You two feed me nuts."
"Drive," Gabriella corrected. "We drive you nuts. Tom feeds you nuts." And Gabriella had to duck out the way of a pillow.

Olivia approached Tom and Javier stealthily.
"Hola," she greeted. "Tom, I just need a minute with my brother." She grabbed Javier's robes and then dragged him out of earshot.
"What the hell are you doing?" Olivia asked her brother angrily.
"I'm just telling what will happen if he hurts you," Javier replied, pushing his robes up his sleeves.
"And what is that, exactly?"
"What are you saying? I can't fight him?"
"That's exactly what I'm saying."
"Via!"
"It's true. Or would you like me to make a list? Let's start with the teeny tiny spider in the sink that made you piss yourself."
"I did not!"
"There were stains on your pants."
"Because of the water."
"Javier, you don't shower with your clothes on. Look, it'll be fine. Do not worry,"
she told her brother.
"Is everything alright?" Tom suddenly appeared.
"Sí," Olivia told him. "Now, Javier, adios.
"Pero-
"Adios." He glared at his sister, then left. "I am sorry about him. He's just protective."
"It's fine," Tom assured him. "How's your day be- wait, no. ¿Cómo te va?"
"Muy bien, Tom! It's been good. ¿Y tú?"
"Yes, it was nice."

The lesson went on so much longer that night that a professor had to usher the couple out of the library. And when Olivia got to her bed that night, Eve and Gabriella were still awake to wonder aloud if it was a date, causing them to both get hit by pillows.
