love you guys! also, I watched Origins of the Heir, what do you guys think of it?
"If you wanted to know if I was a mermaid or not, Tom, you could've just asked," Olivia joked, but there was no humour in her voice.
"But what's the fun in that?" he replied, still smirking. It hadn't left his face since he'd found out. Tom was now sat next to her in the water, watching as she struggled to get herself out.
"Won't you help me?"
"Help you with what?"
"Getting out!" Olivia looked at him, glaring.
"No. Besides, your tail is beautiful," he complimented.
"Oh, don't try your charms on me now, Riddle," she hissed at him, now glowering.
"We're on a last name basis, now?" Olivia had to physically resist the urge to slap him. "So, tell me how it happened."
"Not until I know I can trust you with this, Tom," Olivia told him. "Speaking of, you cannot tell anyone, you understand? No one."
"My lips are sealed."
"I'm serious, Tom. There are many people out there who'd pay handsomely for the tail." Olivia splashed it about, drenching Tom.
"Leave it with the tail." Olivia pushed herself up so she was sitting.
"Tom. Look at me." Yet again, she was staring face on into his soul. "If you really think you can keep it secret, then meet me here tonight." Olivia moved suddenly so she could pin his shoulders to the river bed. "And if you do tell anyone," she moved closer to whisper in his ear. "I will slit your throat," Olivia threated. Tom chuckled, then moving as fast as she did, doing the same. He tilted his head.
"I don't think you will." Tom cupped her face, and next thing she knew his lips were on hers."Eat some soup! Soup makes everything better!" Eve exclaimed, thrusting the dish towards Gabriella. Gabriella had a cold and so was refusing everything that came her way. "And you!" Eve jabbed a finger at Olivia, who was next to Gabriella. "What's up with you?" Olivia sat up, glancing at her friends.
"He knows, amigas," she told them both quietly.
"Who knows what?" Gabriella asked, rather sniffily.
"Tom. Our... thing. Well, he only knows I have it. I didn't mention the pair of you, so as far as he knows, it's just me."
"How?" Eve exclaimed, putting the bowl of soup in front of Gabriella.
"It was an accident. On his behalf. I'll tell you about it later."
"That would explain why he's been boring a hole into you with his eyes," Eve spoke.
"He's staring?" Olivia turned around, only to see Tom staring right at her. She turned back around meekly. "I have to go. I told him I'd meet him and explain a bit more." Eve snorted.
"He probably knows it all already," she mumbled. Gabriella just patted Olivia on her back."You're late," Olivia claimed, not really looking at Tom.
"Hey," he grabbed her arm, just as she started to turn. "I'm sorry I did that to you. It was rash, and I'm sure you'd have told me in your own time." He paused. "Who else knows?" Olivia really looked at him.
"Just you. Now, come on." She led the way down to the water. "I'm going to show you how it happened. But if you try and turn yourself, I will punch you."
"How many threats have you got left, huh?" he asked. Despite herself, she smiled. However, instead of a reply, she just shushed him.
"Okay, so what is going to happen is we are going to go in the water and I will get a bubble around your head," Olivia told him. Tom blinked, and Olivia actually thought she'd befuddled him for a moment.
"Sorry, what?"
"You'll see," Olivia replied nonchalantly. "Just have a little faith."
"Right," Tom consented, even though it didn't really sound like it.
"Ready? Let's go in." The water was a little bit bleak, but Olivia didn't really feel it. When she turned around, Tom wasn't even shivering. Olivia counted to three and they both went under the water together. By this point, Olivia was a mermaid, so she just turned the water around Tom into a bubble so he could breathe. She grabbed his hand and she shot off, the water behind them suddenly turning to bubbles as they moved through the water rapidly. It was not long before they'd reached the place Olivia meant to take Tom too.Surprisingly, when they surfaced, Olivia was not bombarded with questions. Instead, Tom looked a little amazed.
"Look," Olivia pointed upwards. "See the hole? Well, on a full moon, the moon fits perfectly there, and it shines into this pool. I don't really know the rest of it," she admitted, "but I do know if I do the same again, I lose my tail."
"Wow," Tom muttered in awe, then he looked back at Olivia. "Is there anything else I should know?"
"Watch this." Olivia did a few movements with her hand, and concentrated so some of the water around them moved up. Olivia did a fancy little flick before dropping her hand, the water following suit.
"That is fascinating," Tom told her.
"Gracias." She smiled at him. "So, if you want, we can spend a little bit more time here or we can go back?"
"I think we should spend a little more time here," Tom answered, closing in on Olivia to kiss her, yet again.
