Chapter 16
"Whitney, tell me what's wrong." Liam said as we walked toward the school supply section. "Nothing is wrong, it just makes me wonder why you're not with Jasmine and her crew." "What? Whitney we both know who I would rather be with than anyone else." "I know, but I kind of wonder--" "Wonder what?" Niall asked as he and Mimi came toward us eating popcorn. "Well it kind of makes me wonder why you guys are still here with me. ESP after all that Jasmine had said and done." "Whitney, are you Jasmine?" Mimi asked."No." "Well that's why." "What she means is that you are a better friend than she will ever be and you always seem to put others happiness first by hiding your emotions." Niall said. "And you are a better person than she is. You're amazing." Liam said as he held my hands and kissed me.
After a few weeks had past the boys had to go home, and I had to go see my cousins. "Mimi please come with me!" "Why?" "Because I'll be miserable!" "Well I'm sure you can survive without me." "No! I can't! She is a Heffer!" "Ugh fine! But you owe me!" "Yes! Done deal!" "When do we leave?" "Tomorrow around 8 a.m." "Aw, ok." "I'm sorry but thank you so much!!!" "Yeah yeah." "Yea." I said smiling as she just looked at me shaking her head as a smile crept up on her face. Later that night she texted me, "How many days are we staying?" "About a week. :)" "Oh no!" "Haha sorry." "I anit going. "Mimi! I promise if she annoys you, you can slap her all you want." "I'll think about it." Ok, and besides we will be staying at a hotel so." "Ok, see you in the morning." ":)"
The next morning when I pulled into Mimi's driveway, Beaver and Baby-doll was barking like crazy. "Good morning Baby-doll, Beaver." I said as Baby-doll came toward me and bite me. "Ow! You crazy dog!" "Baby-doll! Quit it!" Mimi yelled as she came outside with her suitcase. "Good morning." I said happily. "Morning." she said in a please-let-me-go-back-to-sleep tone. I smiled as I got her suitcases and put them in the trunk. "You all set? Got all your chargers and stuff?" "Yep." "Oh! What about your pillow?" "My pillow?" "Yea whenever my grandma and I would stay at hotels their pillows were awful. Not all of them, but..." "So, you want me to bring my pillow cause you are worried about my neck?" "Yes." With a sigh she said,"Ok." and went to get her pillow. When she came back we started on our two hour long journey. Around 9 a.m we stopped and ate breakfast at Hardee's. "That was good." Mimi said after we finished eating. "Oh yea." I said as I took a sip of my coke and got back on the highway. "Well a little more than an hour to go." I said as Mimi took her iPod out and started listening to music. And there was no doubt in my mind that she might have been listening to either One Direction, Demi, Justin, or Taylor. After driving for an hour and 10 minutes I pulled into my cousins' driveway. "Aren't we gonna check into a hotel?" "Yea, later on besides it's only 10:20." "Ah. Well let the torture begin." Mimi said as I laughed and knocked on the door. When we went inside I were greeted by Sis, Mark, and Destinee. When they saw Mimi they acted like she was part of the family or something and Mimi looked at me like 'What the crap?' I laughed and shook my head. "Hey, what is today?" asked Sis. And I couldn't resist as I said,"It's the 21 of May of 2012 at 10:30 in the morning." And Mimi and I busted out laughing as Sis said "Girl."
