Missing

The next morning I woke up and did my morning routine. As I stepped outside my house all I saw was my drive way. Maddie wasn't here to pick me up. Luckily I could take the bus just in time but I wasn't sure how the rest of my friends were getting to school. When I arrived to school Ethan approached me. "Hey babe, where's Maddie?"

"No clue.".
We walked to our class and it wasn't long until the the office buzzed in. "Miss Hatty, can you please send Mr. Awsten to the front office."

"Yes of course" Miss Hatty spoke.
I walked down the stairs to the office where two police men were waiting. I got nervous about what this was about.
"I'm Sheriff Dowdy and this is Deputy Shay, mind if we ask a few questions?"

"No. Not at all officers"

"You and Madison Sonyay were close weren't you?"

"The closest"

"Any idea why she didn't show up at home last night?"

"She didn't?"

"So that's a no. Her mother is worried sick. We have no idea where she could have gone to son. Let us know anything"

"Yes sir". I walked back to class really nervous of what could have happened. What if she got kidnapped? I sit in my chair and wait for the lunch bell to ring

When I got my tray of food, I sat where I usually did. Just without Maddie beside me. This wasn't like her. "Hey Awsten, where is Maddie?" May asked

"I don't know. She don't go home last night"

"That's not like her. We gotta go look for her" Dustin joined.

"Yea but we can't just up and leave school" I said.

"Or can we...?" Ethan asked. Next thing I know we were walking out if the back of the school building. Off to find Maddie. Thanks god Dustin had a truck. We would have been walking for hours. First stop Draven Park. We were a little suspicious when her mustang was just sitting outside of the park but she wasn't around the car at all. "She's here" May said

"No shit Sherlock" I said sarcastically. We walked into the park looking for Maddie. What we found was horrifying.
