One night changes everything

Regina is now 7 months pregnant. Her hormones are the worst but Emma is hanging in there. Regina is always hungry. She never stops eating. Emma's nan wants to meet Regina so they are going over today. Regina woke up and was in the bed alone. Emma had gone downstairs to make Regina breakfast. The brunette climbed out of bed with her giant belly. She looked in the mirror side on and said "I'm getting so big. I can't wait until your finally here and I don't look so fat"

They didn't know if it was a girl or boy. They were waiting until the baby was born. Regina's mother knows and is sorting all the baby stuff out. She pulled a rob around her shoulders and went to the stairs. The baby bump was really heavy for her to carry. As she was at the top of the stairs she could smell bacon cooking. Like most women while pregnant Regina's sense of smell was twice as good.

She slowly made her way downstairs and to the kitchen. "Morning. Something smells good" Regina says sniffing as she walks in. Emma looked over her shoulder and said "morning. I would ask if it's me that smells nice but I already know it's the bacon" Regina laughed and sat down slowly on the chair. "You smell good to em" she says smiling. 

"How you feeling today" Emma asks while plating up the food. Regina sighed and said "my boobs are killing me and my back hurts. You know the usual" Emma chuckled and put both plates on the table.

Regina started eating as Emma sat down. "We're going to my nans today. Are you sure you want to meet her" Emma asked before taking a bit. Regina completely forgot. She looked up awkwardly and froze. "You forgot didn't you" Emma asked smirking. Regina swallowed the food in her mouth and said "I'm sorry. I am happy to meet her though" Emma was so nervous. Her nan was exactly like Cathrine Tate's version of nan. She didn't think before she spoke.

Shortly after the girls got dressed and Emma drove them down to Boston where she lived. She helped Regina out of the car and over to the door. She bent down and picked the spare key up from under the mat and let herself in. "Hey nan it's me" Emma says closing the door. She heard the sound of her nan laughing from the living room. Emma helped Regina take her coat of before walking threw to the lounge. Regina followed.

"There she is. Have you come to see me" Rose, Emma's nan, said holding her arms out. Emma hugged the smaller, older woman and said "yes nan" she pulled away and rose sat down not noticing Regina. She looked up and saw her. "Oi who's that" she said to Emma looking confused. The blonde sat down on the sofa next to roses arm chair and said "this is Regina my girlfriend" Rose looked her up and down. "Regina? That girl your dating?" Rose asked.

Regina smiled and sat next to Emma while the blonde said "yes nan. Regina" rose laughed to herself and said "she is short ain't she" Regina chuckled a little not planning to. Emma's mouth dropped a little and she raised her eyebrows. "Nan don't say stuff like that to my girlfriend" Emma says but rose was laughing lots. "Ow I am joking luv. Awe but she is beautiful though" Rose says once calming down. Regina smiled and said "thank you. It's nice to finally meet you" Regina took her jacket of.

"She is a bit chunky isn't she" Rose says looking at Regina's bump. Emma sighed and said "no nan she's pregnant. Remember I told you about us having a child" Rose looked at the bump and paused for a few seconds. She then said "ow luv your pregnant. That explains the bump" Emma rapped her arm around Regina holding the baby bump. "Do you want something to eat" Rose asked them both. They shook there heads and Emma said "ow no thank you nan"

Rose stood up and said "something to eat" Emma shook her head and said "no were ok thanks nan" Rose leaned against the side of the sofa and said "sandwich" Regina chuckled and said "were fine thanks" she looked at both of them and said "you sure? Sure you don't want a sandwich? Cup of coffee? Cup of tea" Emma laughed and said "ok a cup of coffee would be great" rose sat down and said "awe you are a good girl making us all coffee. 2 sweeteners for me and very milky"

Emma saw this coming. She stood up and said "Gina you want one" Regina nodded and pecked Emma's lips. The blonde went to the kitchen to make coffee. "So mrs swan? It's nice to finally meet you" Regina says looking over at Rose. She looked up and said "ow and you two darling. Call me rose. Your family now and your the only one of Emma's girlfriends I can stand to be in the same room as me. What's your baby gonna be" Regina shrugged her shoulders and said "we aren't sure. We wanted it to be a surprise"

Rose sat back on the chair and sighed. "You went and got yourself knocked up there's your surprise. Why do ya need another one" she said rolling her eyes. Regina tried not to laughed but it was hard. "Umm well" Regina said not knowing what to say. Emma walked in with two cups and Regina said "why don't you ask Emma that question I'm not sure how to answer" Emma put a coffee in front of Regina and one in front of rose.

"Ask me what nan" Emma asked sitting down. Rose sat forward and said "you. Why didn't you bloody find out the sex of your child? Ow I don't mind what it is... as long as it's a boy or a girl" Emma and Regina looked at each other a little confused. "Nan it can't be anything else" Emma said looking back at rose. "Well I don't know what it could be you didn't check. It could be an alien you don't know what's been up that whole. With her looks you ain't her first" rose says laughing. Emma's mouth dropped in shock.

Regina was shocked but also chuckled. "Nan... don't get like that" rose just carried on laughing to herself. "Ow but she is beautiful ay. That child is gonna be gorgeous... whatever it bloody is" Rose says before laughing again. Shortly after Emma and Regina had to leave. Rose hugged Emma and said "goodbye sweetie. You let me know when she gives birth so I can start knitting for whatever the child is" Emma kissed her head and said "I will nan" Rose then looked at Regina and hugged her.

In her ear she whispered "you keep my girl happy ok" Regina nodded and kissed her cheek. As they were leaving rose pulled Emma back into the house. She made sure Regina was out of ear shot and said "you better marry that girl" Emma smiled and said "I hope so soon nan. I do really love her" rose took her wedding ring of and said "give her this"

Emma looked shocked and said "but nan" "no buts! Take it. Your grandfather gave that to me and his father gave it to his wife and so on through our family. It's a good luck ring. The only reason your parents didn't have it was because they weren't married before they died. Give it to her and marry her" Rose says interrupting. Emma smiled and hugged her.

Rose has had that ring for 50 years and been married to the same man for the whole time. Even during his sickness and death she stayed married and true to him. Emma caught up with Regina and kissed her deeply outside the car. When she pulled away she said "your so god damm beautiful" Regina blushed and said "I love you" Emma pecked her lips and said "I love you so much more than you know"
