One night changes everything

A week later. A consistent quick knock came from the front door. Regina was tying her rob up while walking down the stairs. "Coming" she says heading to the door. She opened it and saw Hermione stood there crying. The girl hugged her and cried on her shoulder. "Ow my god what's wrong" Regina says rubbing her back. She saw the twins were in the push chair next to her. She pulled away and said "get in and talk to me" Hermione nodded and went into the house.

Regina grabbed the push chair and pushed the twins into the house. "Emma" Regina says up the stairs. Emma came down holding Henry. "Can you watch the twins in the lounge while I talk to Hermione in the kitchen please" she asks when Emma is in front of her. Emma nodded and kissed her softly. "Is she ok" she asked pushing the chair to the lounge. Regina followed and said "I don't know" she then went to the kitchen and over to the island. "Talk to me now" Regina says sitting on a stool in front of her.

Hermione started calming down and took her jacket of. She was in a vest top. On her left shoulder and her right boob was very dark bruises. Regina looked shocked at her and said "ow my god Hermione. What the hell happened" she wiped the tears of her nieces face and held her chin up to look at her. "What happened" she says softly. Another tear ran down Hermione's cheek and she said "Alex. Regina please don't tell dad he will flip" Regina looked at her shocked. Her mouth dropped.

"Alex did this? I won't tell your dad but you have to let me sort this out" she says standing up. Hermione shook her head and said "no. Regina please don't Alex will kill me if he finds out I told anyone" Regina pulled her into a hug. She held her close and said "you can't stay with him. You either let me sort this out or your dad and we both know who is better to deal with this" Hermione nodded and pulled away. More tears fell. Regina gently brushed her finger on Hermione's shoulder. Her shoulder jolted back and another tear left her eye.

"Did that hurt" Regina says shocked. She nodded softly and said "he did it this morning" Regina was so angry at him. "Are there anymore" she says softly. Hermione hesitated before standing up. She lifted the top up slightly revealing a huge bruise on the side of her stomach. "Ok you stay here with Emma. I'm going to speak to him now" Regina says moving to the door. Hermione nodded and followed. She hugged her and said "thank you Regina"

They pulled away and Regina said "of course. Go sit in the lounge and if you ask nicely she'll make you her special cocktail that everyone loves but can't figure out what is in it" Hermione laughed and they went into the lounge. Regina kissed Emma softly and said "Hermione is gonna stay here with you and I've got to run out and do something. Love you baby and love you Henry" Hermione sat down as Regina walked out of the room. She took her rob of and was already dressed. Hermione explained to Emma where and why Regina left.

Meanwhile Regina pulled up outside of Alex and Hermione's house. She went to the door and knocked. Alex opened the door and said "ow hey Regina. What's up" Regina looked annoyed at him and said "we need to talk now" she then walked into the house and went to the lounge. He closed the door and followed her. "What's wrong" he asked confused. She slapped him round the face hard and said "how dare you put your hands on Hermione like that"

He moved back a few steps with Regina moving forward until he hit the wall. "I don't know what your talking about" he says a little scared of Regina. "Don't lie to me! You ever touch her again like that then your gonna have a lot worse pain that a slap round the face. You hurt her I hurt you. Every cut and every bruise will hurt on you a lot more than on her" she says in his face angry. She was smaller than him but he was so scared of her. She moved back and walked out of the house. He was shaking and looked down scared.

Regina drove back home and went into the house. She sat down in the arm chair and said "all sorted. He definitely ain't going to be bothering you anymore" Hermione smiled and sighed in relief. "Can I stay here for a few days? Just until I can find a place" she asked awkwardly. Emma smiled and said "for as long as you want. I can help pay for a place for you to live as well" Regina smiled softly at them. Hermione shook her head and said "I couldn't take that kind money from you like that"

Regina sat forward and said "it's not taking we're giving it to you. Stay here until we can find you a nice place for you and the twins ok" she smiled and said "thank you. Both of you. Ow and please don't tell dad about this. He will flip" Regina leaned over to hold her hand. "One of us is gonna have to tell him but I can stop him from doing anything" Regina says softly. Hermione frowned and said "how" Regina laughed and said "I may be the smallest and the youngest but they all know they can't beat me"

They all laughed. Henry was on the floor playing with his toys. Liam was in Emma's arms and hope was in Hermione's arms. "Come here let me hold one of these cuties" Regina says holding her arms out. Emma stood up and put Liam in her arms. Regina smiled and said "awe he is delicious. I just want to eat him up" Hermione laughed and said "that's the one thing me and Alex did good together" Emma put her arm around her shoulder. "Just be gay. Woman are so much better" Emma says with a smile.

Hermione pushed her gently and laughed. Regina laughed and Hermione said "shut up your not helping" Emma laughed and said "I'm only playing. Well if Regina's been over there then I don't think he will do anything coz I mean I'm married to her and she still scares me" Hermione laughed and Regina put her middle finger up at Emma. "Mummy I'm hungry. When is lunch" Henry says going over to Emma. "should we go make a sandwich" she says standing up. Henry nodded and stood up.

She picked him up and they went to the kitchen. She sat him on the side and started making the sandwich. Regina looked through the door and saw them laughing. "Emma is a really good mum to Henry" Hermione says looking round at the door. She looked at Regina smiling at them. She bit her lip while smiling and said "Yeah she is... I can't wait to tell her I'm pregnant with our second child"
