One night changes everything

Yesterday Regina told her mother that she's engaged. She is starting to freak out since she's properly realised her mother won't be there to walk her down the aisle. Also that her mother hates her. Emma left for work early today. Regina packed Henrys out door stuff and went to Katherine's house. She knocked on the door unaware its 8:30 in the morning. Kat opened the door and said "please tell me this is serious" she had just woken up.

Regina walked in and said "we need to talk please" Kat nodded and said "sure please come in" Regina had already walked to the lounge. Kat followed while tired and still half asleep. "Me and Emma are engaged" Regina says lifting Henry out of his car seat. "Yes Regina I was there" Kat says still sleepy. Regina sighed and said "yes I know. I wasn't finished. I told my mum" Kat instantly knew what Coras reaction was. "Awe Regina. It didn't go well did it" she says moving closer to her.

Regina shook her head and her eye filled with tears. "No... she hates me and I told her not to come to my wedding during a big fight" she says now crying a little. Kat took Henry from her and she wiped her tears away. "My dad is dead so he's not there to walk me down the aisle and my mum isn't coming so she won't. I can't get married with her not there" Regina says wiping the tears that keep falling. Kat held her hand and said "I'm so sorry. Is there no way she will come"

Regina shook her head and said "no she's not coming because I said stuff I didn't mean and I know she meant what she said. What the fu" "Henry" Kat says quickly interrupting her. Regina sighed and said "I forgot. Sorry Henry not that you understand me right now. Anyway what am I going to do" Kat looked up and said "what about us? Me, Zelena and Ruby. One can be your maid of honour. One can walk you down the aisle. And one can marry you as your minister"

She liked this plan. Of course she was still upset about her mum but this was good. "I like that. I'll speak to Emma but that should be ok since I'm the bride and she'll be the groom. It's weird because I've been planning my wedding since I was 5 and nothing is going to be the same" Regina says looking up at Kat. She looked confused and said "what do you mean" Regina looked down a little upset.

She looked back up at her and said "I always planned me walking down the aisle with my dad on one arm and my mum on the other. All my sisters as bridesmaids and brothers sat down smiling. At the other end was a tall handsome man who I knew loved me and I loved back. I had a big white wedding dress on. My hair was long and done so nice" Kat held her hand and rubbing but with her thumb. "Now close your eyes" Kat says softly.

Regina did what she said and Kat continued "now imagine your wedding... what do you see" Regina took a deep breath and imagined her wedding now. "I have Zelena next to me linking arms. I am walking down the aisle and Emma is there in a suit. She looks great. Your the minister and you look beautiful. I see in front of me is Ruby my maid of honour. My dress is beautiful. I'm stood with Emma and I look at everyone. I see mum... she's stood up at the back smiling like she just arrived" Regina then quickly opened her eyes.

"I don't want to do that again. She won't be there. I want that all to be true but no it won't be" Regina says standing up stressed. Ruby grabbed her hand and sat her back down. Since she had Henry she didn't want to stand up. "You calm down now. I'm sure she just needs time to calm down. She accepted you when you were dating and hopefully she will when she sees how happy you are together" Kat says making sure she is looking in her eyes the whole time.

Henry then started crying. Regina took him and stood up to nurse him. She rocked him side to side in her arms. "Come on baby boy. Mama loves you and really needs you to stop" Regina says softly to him. Henry then stopped crying. Everyone was always so impressed with how well Regina was at parenting. "Your such a good mother Regina. You deserve to be happy with someone you love whether you mother likes it or not" Kat says standing up. Regina hugged her with one arm still holding Henry.

Kat loved babies and absolutely adored Henry. She took him from Regina and held him close. "Hey little Henry. You are so cute. Yes you are" she says talking to him in her baby talking voice. Regina giggled and sat back down. "I'll talk to her again tomorrow. I need to text Emma coz she finishes her shift soon and will wonder where I am" Regina says pulling her phone out. She saw she had a miss call from Emma. She called her back.

Phone call
E."hey baby. Question. Why is your mum at my work screaming and shouting at me"
R."ow no I'm so sorry baby. Where is she now"
E."I had to handcuff her to one of the desks"
R."coz that's gonna help her like you more"
E."the only way to shut her up was to handcuff her and tell her she'll be arrested if she doesn't"
R.*sighs* "ok I'll be down in a second. Don't do anything with her until I get there"
E."I'm an engaged woman what do you take me for"
R."shut up you. I'm on my way love you"
E."love you two. Bye"
End call

"I got to go Emma had to arrest my mum coz she's crazy. Can you watch Henry" Regina asks standing up and fixing her hair. Kat nodded while standing up and said "yes of course. Don't do anything stupid" Regina grabbed her bag and said "going down there is stupid enough. It can't get any worse" she walked out of the house and got into her car quickly. She drove down as fast as she could to the station. When she walked in she saw her mother sat on a chair handcuffed to a desk.

Both Emma and Cora were staring at each other angry. "Well aren't you two jolly" Regina says walking in. Emma stood up and hugged Regina. "I'm sorry I had no choice you know doing this was the last thing I wanted to do" Emma says holding her close. Regina nodded and pulled away to kiss her softly. "I know baby. I'll handle this" Regina says before kissing her again. "Ok mum what the hell are you doing here" she sad looking at her mother.

Emma sat back down at her desk and started typing on the laptop. She had paper work to do. "Can you bloody uncuff me now" Cora says annoyed. "Once you answer the question" Regina says putting her hands on her hips. Cora sighed and said "I wanted her to call of the wedding. I was willing to pay her lots of money to leave you" Regina's eyes filled with tears and she looked down. "Emma uncuff her please" Regina says not even being able to look at Cora.

Emma unlocked the handcuffs and Cora stood up. "Get out now. I can't even look at you right now" Regina says looking down next to her. A tear rolled down her cheek while Cora was standing up. Cora looked at Regina and said "I'm sorry but I can't accept it" Regina still didn't look up and said "I don't want you to anymore. Get out and if I see you at my wedding I will be the one disowning you" Cora walked out half annoyed half upset. Emma stood up and said softly "you alright"

Regina wiped the tears and nodded. "I'm fine. I'm just gonna go see your nan she'll cheer me up" Regina says with a slight smile. She knew rose could cheer her up. Emma didn't know about them being together without her. "You sure? I can get of work" Emma says holding her hands. Regina lifted them up to her lips and kissed them. "It's ok. I can see your busy and you need to work coz I'm not working yet" Regina says holding there hands close to her face.

"Ok. I love you" Emma says before kissing Regina softly. "I love you two" Regina says before kissing her again. "Where is Henry by the way" Emma asks now finally realising. Regina laughed and said "with Kat" Emma smiled and said "proud of you. You left Henry with someone without a fight" Regina's face dropped and she said "ow crap. I'm gonna get Henry then go to your nan's. hopefully she'll show me some more pictures" they both laughed slightly and kissed.
