One night changes everything

Regina ran out of the hospital and to her car. She called Emma while driving. It went to voicemail. Regina sighed and left a voicemail. "Em baby. call me when you get this. It's important" she says still sobbing and worried. She hung up and drove as fast as she was allowed. When she got to the house she ran in. She saw Elsa and James were there with Emma in the lounge. "Hey where's Hermione, Chris and the babies" Elsa asks smiling.

"Umm still at the hospital. She's gonna have to stay overnight. Baby I need to talk to you" Regina says stressed. She was still crying. Emma pulled her into a hug and said "babe what's wrong" Regina pulled away and more tears left her eyes. "Your nan past away in her sleep" Regina says softly while holding Emma's hands. Emma's face dropped. She looked down at the floor and tears came to her eyes. She was speechless. She sat on the sofa shocked. Regina kneeled in front of her and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm so sorry em" she says rubbing her back. Tears left both girls eyes. Emma started crying lots and aloud. Elsa took James out of the room to the kitchen. Regina pulled away and stood up. Emma stood up and they hugged again. She berried her head into Regina's chest but the brunette could still hear her crying. "I know baby. It's hard but she would want you to stay calm" Regina say softly. Elsa came back in and said "em I'm so sorry" Emma ignored her and kept hold of Regina.

"Thank you" Regina says softly. "We'll leave you two alone for a bit. We're gonna go to the hospital" Elsa says softly. Regina kissed her cheek and held onto Emma again. "I'm so sorry baby. It's going to be ok. Just let it all out" Regina says rubbing her back. Elsa left with James. Emma pulled away and said "I can't believe she's actually gone" Regina wiped Emma's face with her sleeve. She kissed her softly and said "I know sweetie. It's ok" Regina sat on the sofa and patted the seat next to her.

Emma sat down and cuddled into her fiancé. Regina kissed her head and Emma said "she never even got to come to our wedding. She was the one who told me to marry you" another tear fell down Emma's cheek and landed on Regina hand. "She told me after I had Henry that I was to skinny and to small so she tried feeding me cabbage and chocolate" Regina says with a soft smile. Emma giggled and said "yeah that sounds like her. One time she was convinced that the nurse in the hospital was stealing from her"

Regina looked down at her and said "was she" Emma laughed and said "no of course not. Nan didn't even have her phone or purse in the hospital with her" Regina giggled and kissed her head. "I never imagined this happening. It just doesn't seem right" Emma says as more tears left her eyes. Regina held her close and rubbed her arm. She nodded and said "I know sweetie. It's such a shock" Emma soon fell asleep on her fiancé. Regina called all her siblings to let them know what happened.

Chris, James and Elsa stayed at the hospital with Hermione. Regina put the tv on and stroked Emma's hair while she was sleeping. Henry was in his cot asleep since it was his bed time. Regina quickly made a group chat that had Kat, Zelena and ruby in. They all knew rose quite well so should know.

Regina: hey girls I have something I need to tell you all xxx

Kat: hey what's up chick xx

Zelena: what's wrong xx

Ruby: something wrong xx

Regina: rose past away xxx

Zelena: ow my god xxx

Ruby: ow god no. I'm literally speechless xx

Regina: I know it's insane right xx

Kat: I can't believe it. She was like an amazing woman xxx

Kat: how's Emma doing xx

Regina: not to good. She's fallen asleep on me in the lounge xxx

Ruby: awe bless her xx

Zelena: give her my love xx

Kat: and mine xx

Ruby: and mine please xx I'm sorry for your loss xx

Emma then started to wake up. She kissed Regina's cheek and said "hey" Regina cupped her cheek and said "hey you alright. The girls sent there love. It hit them hard to" Emma nodded and said "I'm a little better. If they want they can come over since there upset as well" Regina nodded and kissed her softly. "Stay strong my beautiful girl. I love you" Regina says holding her chin up. Emma smiled softly and said "I love you two" she looked up at the ceiling and said "and I love you nan. Gonna miss you"

Regina texted the girls to come over for a few drinks to celebrate Rose's life. They were all in the lounge talking about her. A tear rolled down Emma and Kat's cheek. "is crazy how she's gone" ruby says after drinking a mouthful of her wine. She rested her head on Zelena's shoulder and a few tears fell from her eyes.

Zelena put her arm around her and rubbed her shoulder. Emma held Regina's hand and rubbed her thumb across it. "Are you two dating" Emma asks looking at Zelena and Ruby confused. They both smiled and Ruby went red. "Awe you guys" Kat says smiling. Regina giggled slightly and said "knew you were gay" ruby smiled and put her middle finger up. Emma kissed her cheek and said "I'm happy for you" ruby looked at Emma and said "I'm sorry for your loss. She was an incredible woman"

Regina lifted her glass up and said "to rose. A loving grandmother... to all of us" they all lifted there glasses up and clinked them together. Emma rested her head on Regina's shoulder and just looked at the floor upset. "She was there for me when I was locked out of my house in the cold and rain" ruby says looking upset. "She was there when for me when my ex boyfriend broke up with me" Kat says looking around at them all.

Zelena held her tears in and said "when i needed money to pay for my petrol in the car she saw and gave me some. She wouldn't let me pay her back" Regina kissed Emma's head and said "when mum and I had the fight about the wedding she was there and managed to cheer me up" another tear rolled down Emma's cheek.

She wiped it away and said "She took me in when my parents died and she was there when my brother died. Everything thats happened in my life she was there. Whether it was a sad event or the proudest moment of my life. She was there" Regina put her arm around her and said "she was there for all of us" a tear fell for each of there eyes they and landed in front of them.
