Chapter 24

Dennise's POV

"No fucking way!" sigaw ko.

"But, Milly—,"

"There's no way I'm gonna put her family in danger, ok? There's just no fucking way!" I exclaimed as I pace my room impatiently. Yung plano na sinasabi saken ni Carl nung isang araw, turns out it's utter shit.

"This is our chance! It's our escape!" nakangiti niyang sabi saken na para bang wala siyang nadinig sa mga sinabi ko.

"No, Carl! It's your chance, ok? It your escape!" I snapped at him, and immediately felt bad about it for no reason at all, yet I continued, "do you even know your own mom like, at all?! Do you really think na after nating umalis ng pinas hindi niya tayo mahahanap, ha? Are you fucking insane? I have a fucking family to take care of! And so does Ros! Do you really think it's that fucking easy?!" sigaw ko sa kanya.

"I don't know OK! I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING CLUE WHAT TO DO!" sigaw niya at marahas niyang binagsak yung katawan niya sa couch na nasa kwarto ko at don na nakita kong namugto yung mga mata niya, "I am so fucking desperate to get away from here, and you too, I want you to be happy too, Milly..." halos bulong na lang niya.

"I know... I'm sorry for snapping at you," sabi ko at tinabihan siya.

"You broke up with her, didn't you?" napatingin ako sa kanya.

"How did you know that?" tanong ko at tinignan lang siya ng nakakunot ang noo, "please don't tell me you were stalking us," I warned.

"Geez no, I wasn't stalking," tanggi niya habang nakangiti, and gosh he has a pretty smile. And something dawned at me. A very horrible thought.

"How did you know Ros?" I asked and my tone was cold and unfamiliar even to me. At parang napansin din yon ni Carl, dahil napatingin siya saken defensively.

"Now calm down, Milly," he said and pushed himself up and walked away from me slowly.

"Carl, answer the damn question," I asked again this time nakatayo na at palapit kay Carl, "How the fuck did you know Ros," I snapped, the words didn't come out as a question, they came out demanding.

"OK first of all—"

"Carl!" I interrupted.

"No wait just—it isn't—hear me out, Milly!" Carl backed out, palms facing me and leveled with his chest as though trying to calm me down but fuck that there's no way in hell I'm calming down, not when it's about Ros.
