Max POV The next day when I wake up in the morning I notice dad's still here. -Dad. Ka-I'm awake. How you feeling? -Much better. I stretch out throwing punches at the air demonstrating him and he laughs. I get up and take the shower I so much need. I get out and take breakfast calmly. Ka-I called the school and told them you were not going to be there, I smile. Ka-For the morning classes. You'll be there after lunch for your evening classes. -Fine. We talk about my recent powers and urges all morning. At lunch, a bit before I go to school and eat my lunch there, still sleepy I only grab an apple when someone hugs me from behind. I groan and I turn to see Sophie. I roll my eyes and turn. She reaches up to kiss me but I don't kiss her back. S-Listen, I have a few places I want to go and some things I want to do as well........... Before she can continue o shush her and take her arms off of me. I decide to tell her now. -Listen, you're a great chick and all but I don't think we can be together anymore. S-Are you breaking up with me? I nod ashamed but confident. She turns seriously angry and she slaps me hard. S-This is not the last you've seen of me. You'll regret this, I swear. I can see the sadness behind her anger and she gives me another slap and goes away. I rub my face and I crack my neck before I turn away. I am on my last class, gym, when I hear a shot. I turn to see and I get shot a second time. It doesn't hit but I confirm is for me. Everyone takes cover myself included when I hear my name. S-Max, come out you coward. I look over the cover getting another shot. Trying to think of how to approach her I hear her scream. I turn to see her falling from the ceiling and as guilt comes over me I jump out of cover and as I run I call my aura forth. -Gazelle! I get longer and higher steps and as I jump I catch her and I turn inside the building crashing into a classroom by the window. I sigh when I feel metal on my head. I lift my head up to see the point of a gun straight to my face. I frown angrily. -Go ahead, kill me. I see a tear roll down her face and she frowns her hand shaking. She lifts to hold the gun with both hands and she groans closing her eyes. I sigh and get my hand on the weapon taking it from her. She sobs and I discharge the gun unarming it completely. I put it on the desk before I take her on my arms and take her to the infirmary. I call the police and get the gun again after getting some gloves to take it. I use my aura to fix the broken window and I go back to class. When the police arrives and the press does too they turn to me with their cameras and their questioning. I ignore them and when they touch me I turn to walk away. -Monkey. I get under a tree and with a jump I get hidden behind the leaves. I climb high and out of their reach. They get a stair and I jump from tree to tree until I'm side to side with the school building. I jump and as I start to fall. -Spider. I stay glued to the wall and as I walk the wall to the ceiling I hide there. They bring a helicopter to the ceiling and I turn away. When I see dad I smile and I jump from the building and into the car. I turn on the driver's seat and dad gets on the passenger's seat. As the reporters approach I get the ceiling back on the car and drive away from school. I see as my twin cousins follow on their own car and we go home. We all hurry inside and I collapse on the couch. Ka-What happened? -The usual. CJ-Someone tried to kill him and he saved him when it almost died. AJ-What exactly happened? -My ex girlfriend, that's what happened. Ka-Didn't I told you to be gentle? -I tried, guess it wasn't as gentle as I thought. Ka-Poor thing. -Twice. Ka-Twice what? -The times she slapped me. Two times, on each side. The twins laugh and dad makes that face that grandpa does and is so alike that I have to laugh. Suddenly I feel a pain on my chest, head and soul. I fake just being tired but my aura doesn't cooperate. After a bit I hear the police cars approaches and the media too. I roll my eyes and sigh heavily. Ka-What did you do to attract so many attention? Karma POV I open the door a bit and check how bad are things. I decide to send Max to Olympus. I take him with me to the garage and give him the keys for the convertible and I take the bike. With that we go high speed towards the agency. When we finally go to Olympus I notice that Max is disoriented. -Hey boy. Come here. M-I'm dizzy. I get him secured against me and he walks surely but slowly. Everyone is away so we have the house to ourselves. I get him to my room and get him on my bed. -How are you feeling? He shrugs and I get it. He takes my hand but it seems like he can't find it visually. Not long after he falls asleep and I go get dinner. Dad arrives. Ha-So you are here. -Hey dad. I hope you don't mind us staying over a bit. Ha-Course not. Anytime. He gets to the fridge taking the juice for him. -You were right. Ha-About? -About Max. He did had a girlfriend. Ha-Had? -He broke up with her. She tried to kill him and he saved her. The house is crowded with police and reporters wanting to ask him about it. Also, his aura is a bit crazy right now. He nods and gets to eat. He gives me one as well and as I'm about to eat I hear Max whispering with his heart. I get all sort of messages asking for help and pushing me away and so on. I get out from my thoughts to dad snapping his fingers in front of me. Ha-Karma! -Ah, oh, sure wathever. He laughs and I turn back to my food and eat it. I serve a bit for Max and get it for him. -Max? Max! I see him sweating and panting. I go to him and he can barely say a word. M-Noise. Too much noise. I can't hear anything even with my divine sense of hearing. I press my fingers to his neck easing his breathing a bit. It works slowly and when he falls asleep I turn away. Max POV I wake up the next morning still hurting but the hunger I have wins the argument and I make my way to the kitchen. I take the entire juice bottle and I drink it entirely. I let myself fall on the chair and I try to keep my eyes open but can't. I groan holding my hands to my hair. -Ah gods. I slowly make my way back to my room. I stay there trying different things to be better. I find an old runner and I check it to see if it works. It does and I get it on the fastest. -Cheetah. I feel speed coming to me and I run exercising at high speed. I take off my shirt staying with only my shorts. I can feel the pain subside a little but as I start to get tired it comes back. I pass my hand by my throat and lower mouth. My throat burns but my mouth and chest feel cold. I let out a sneeze and as I see fire and ice come out of my mouth I get sidetracked and I fall towards the wall from the runner. I break at least half the room in my way and I get on my knees and I cover my head from falling books. I see dad coming in and I can't see clearly. I can't tell how close or far eh is from me. Ka-Are you hurt? -No but I'm having trouble focusing. I can hear, see, far beyond. I can't tell how far is something or how close it is. I can hear everything. From the ground moving under the water to the water flowing down the cascade. If I focus I can control it but this is too much. Your phone. Right on cue his phone buzzes with a text. I let out a breath and fire comes out. Dad looks at me as shocked as I am and he hangs up his phone. Ka-Did you just? I shrug trying again and again fire and ice come out. He does the same but his is more controlled. He takes me to the training grounds and he teaches me how to control my breath of fire and ice. Soon I get the hang of it. As I go I start to feel bad again. Ka-Max! Hey are you feeling alright?

I stand again feeling a shiver down my back. -I'm, I'm alright. I feel dizzy and I smile at him. -But then again, I can be wrong. Ka-Come on. Let's go home, you need to rest. I follow but not two steps after I fall to my knees holding my head as it feels like it will break apart. Karma POV I look as Max gets on his knees. I rub his back a bit and I see as he gets a bit bigger like he's growing up. His clothes rip and he groans in silence not wanting to scream. -Max? He shakes his head grabbing my wrist tight. I groan silently as he sticks his nails on my skin. When he finally relaxes as he gets better he turns to me and he looks so much better. -Better? He nods and as he looks at himself he rips his shirt off staying shirtless. He sits back and I look at him. He hangs his head back and his hair turns pure white his eyes in an icy blue or shiny blue green mix. I help him stand and the first thing I notice is his height. He's equal with me. -You grew. M-I know, now I'm equal with you. I have no idea what happened but I am feeling good. I see as he calls forth his aura toying with it. His aura is shaped as a sharp tooth. He yawns and I see something strange. -Wait, open let me see. He does and I see fangs growing out very sharp. I let go of him to check something else. His ears are pointy now, his eyes are like a cat's, his nails are sharp as claws. He has qualities as an animal, a predator. -Can we go home now? I nod and we go home and go to sleep. Max POV The next morning as I wake up I go to the kitchen and I find that everyone is there already. I take the juice bottle and as I'm about to open it it Burt's on my hand and explodes. I turn to wash my hands and I break the metal making it splash on my neck. -I better do nothing. Ka-Come eat your breakfast. I shrug and I hesitate a bit afraid of breaking it.
