Callie's New Life

Chapter 4

1 week later - Callie's POV

I was basically on house arrest until Lucas is caught, not that that I cared I was never leaving the house again. I couldn't take a bath or look in the mirror without crying. I had cuts and bruises everywhere. Most of the time I lock myself in my bathroom and then inside my shower, I stay clothed, I keep my shoes on, and if it wasn't for the baby inside me I would never come out. I have started cutting again, almost everyday again, just like I was before I meant Samuel. I haven't talked, not once since I've been home. "Callie?" Gidion calls out. "Please talk to me?" He said I don't say anything, I don't move, I hold my knees up to my chest, I rock back and forth,  I church onto a razor. Soon I hear keys, then the bathroom door opens. "I hope your dressed because I'm coming in" he says he walks in a looks around until he sees me sitting in the shower. He uses a key to open that door as well, he gets down and sits beside me on the other side of the shower.

Gidion's POV

I just wanted to keep Callie in my sights but she didn't want me to see her, she didn't want anyone to see her. My heart breaks every time I look at her. Her face was all cut up, it was black and blue, and open of her eyes was stitched shut. She had started cutting again, her wrists up to her albows were covered in cuts. She rocked back and forth with her knees to her chest, and she clutched a razor in her hand. I hold my hand out hoping she would give it to me and thankfully she does. "I know your scared and sad, and God only knows what else, but you can't just hide away in your shower" I said as I move her bangs out of her face, she flintches and looks away from me. I get sad. "You can send me back if you want" she said it was the first time I heard her speak since before she left last Friday for a date that didn't happen. "No!" I yelled making her jump a little. "Sorry.... I'm not gonna send you back... unless that's what you want" I said she shakes her head no which makes me smile. "Good..." I said

It got quiet again. "You know Zi has been out of the sikeward for a few days now, I heard she's living in a shelter.... why not see if she might want to move in here... and your other friends, the ones having a baby...what were their names?" I asked "Dicky and Tina" she said "right... didn't you say they were having a hard time finding a place?" I asked "yeah..." she said "they could stay here to, they could have the other master... You know if you want to do that" I said she just shrugged. "I don't have their numbers anymore..." she said

After awhile she asked me to leave her alone. "Ok kid, I love you" I said "love you" she whispered back. I smiled a little and left.

I want down the stairs and started making phone calls. "You owe her" I said into the phone to Samuel. I was trying to get Zi's and Tina's cell phone number. "Thanks" I said once he gave them to me, I hung up and then headed off to make myself dinner.
