Prince's POV

Dumbfounded would be an understatement to describe the look that came across her face.

"Did you hear what I asked you?" I spoke softly. "Honey, will you go out with me?"

And still, nothing.

She won't say a word. Did I just mess this up?

"Mia please, say something."

Sighing deeply, her hands once again covered her face as her head shook.

Reaching out to take her hands away, she stood up out of my grasp, while surprisingly smiling.

But soon that smile turned into strange laughter, resulting in the most bothered side eye from me.

Clearing my voice I asked, "You don't think I'm serious do you?"

Turned away completely with her back to me, she glanced over her shoulder. "You've been drinking or something."

This woman.

"Mia I don't consume alcohol, er.. well wine occasionally, but I haven't had a sip of anything in months. I am perfectly sober, certainly in my right mind, and I know you are very well aware of that."

Tucking a few loose waves behind her double pierced ear, she quietly padded across the floor to the front of her desk.

So I started to follow her.

"No, no. You stay over there." She warned with her hands out.

"Why? Afraid of what you may do if I get close enough?"

Well that question definitely got a rise of out her, the proof showing thanks to the glare she was giving.

I moved in closer.

Out of nowhere, her heels went flying near a corner of the room. One by one.

Taking her heels off? Is she preparing to fight me? I'll know once she reaches for the hoops.

Luckily her earrings stayed in place.

"Mia what are you doing?"

"Getting my feet free just in case I've got to run up out of here."

I chuckled moving even closer, causing her to quickly slide behind the desk.

At that moment we were both face to face as I leaned my weight in.

"You've got to come from behind there at some point." I smirked.

Her eyes shifted, glancing over at the clock hanging from the wall.

"You don't have that long until your session is over, Mr. Nelson."

Mr. Nelson?

"Oh so are we back to that now?"

"You're my client, please understand. Standard A.5.a of the ACA Code of Ethics states that any romantic or sexual relationship with current clients are completely prohibited."
