ELIZABETH'S POV
5 days later
Once I finished teaching George a little bit of maths I left school and started going home. In the way I found RoseMary walking towards me, and she said:
-Oh, Elizabeth
-Yes RoseMary?
-I heard there is a new student at school
-Yes, there is, his name is George and next week is his birthday, and you can help me plan a party- I said while we started walking
-Oh, that would be great- she said excited- As a birthday present I could make a dress, for her mother, because with that...- she said before she stopped walking.
It was so sudden, I got very scared. She was looking to the distance and holding her head. I grabbed her just in case she would faint.
-ROSEMARY?! ARE YOU OKAY?!- I yelled desesperate
-Yes, yes , I'm fine- she said
-I'll take you to the Infirmary
-No, I just need some rest
-Okay, tell me if you need anything. Let's go to your house.
-Okay, fine.
Then we continued our way. When I arrived my house I saw Jack with Peter in his arms. He was singing a lullaby:
-Lullaby, and goodnight,in the sky stars are bright. May the moon's silvery beams bring you sweet dreams- he continued.
I love how he sings. He didn't sing very often, that's why I would usually stay silent until he finished singing the lullaby.
-Hello my beautiful wife- he said smiling.
-Hello my handsome husband-I said before he kissed me.
-You should sing more often- I said, but he started laughing.
-If I sang every time you asked me to, our son would be asleep for 5 whole years-he said, and we both laughed a little bit.
-I'll cook dinner.
-There's no need, I already did- he said proudly.
-Jack...
-Don't worry, Abigail helped- he said smiling
-Oh, then thank you- I said- I love how you are always helpful
-And I love how you are always kind, generous, you never give up, you are just perfect.- he said putting his forehead on mine.
Then he showed me what he had cooked, and it was delicious. Once we finished having dinner I fed Peter, washed the dishes with Jack, planned some things for the next class, spent some time with Jack and then went to sleep.

That morning I woke up and felt like in fairy tales. The sun's light was coming through the window, the birds were singing, and I could breathe the fresh morning air. To complete this perfect morning, I saw my husband sleeping next to me, putting his arms around me, and even though I couldn't see him, because he was in another room, I knew that my angelical son was sleeping in his crib. I wanted to check on Peter, so I moved Jack's arm, but he woke up very scared, almost jumping off the bed:
-Jack - I said trying to calm him down- Jack it's okay
It seemed like he was still in his dream. I could see his face full of fear and shock. I was there rubbing his back until he hugged me. I felt how my shoulder got wet with his tears.
-What happened?
-Nothing, just a nightmare- he said wiping his tears
-Don't worry, everything's fine...Do you want me to stay here with you?
-It's okay, thank you.
-I'll be downstairs, if you need anything, call me.
-Thank you Elizabeth.
Then I smiled and went downstairs to make breakfast. I was the whole time thinking about Jack and what was he so worried about. I thought so much, I almost burnt all the eggs. Then Jack came downstairs, but he still seemed a little bit worried:
-Jack, tell me the truth- I said- What is really happening?
-It's just, I'm scared, what if something happened in Hope Valley? Just like in the Northern Territories. Watching all the families suffering, losing their children or parents. I was thinking about that little girl, Lucy, the one I talked to you about, she lost her parents- the same moment in which he said that, a tear went down his face- and now she is alone.
-Oh Jack- I said, and then hugged him- Everything's going to be fine, and I'm sure Lucy will find  a home
Jack sighed and stopped crying. Then we both ate breakfast and went to school.
Once we arrived I kissed Jack goodbye and rang the cowbell. Everyone came in tired, but happy, and George came in almost hopping.
-Hi George! I can see you are excited today
-Yes! In 2 days is my birthday!- he said, almost yelling it
-Wow! 2 days already! That's so soon!- Then he went to sit down- Hi Opal, Hi Brownie!
-Hello Miss Thornton- she said thoughtful.
-What's wrong?
-Are we going to celebrate George's birthday?
-Yes, and I have an idea, you can be my special helper today
-How?
-What if you tell everyone to make drawings for George's birthday. But be careful, don't tell George about any of this
-Don't worry Miss Thornton, I won't tell him
-Thank you Opal
-You're welcome
Then everyone went inside and we started with the class. Everything went just fine, and when I saw Jack I could see he felt better after talking. Even though we had some rough time in the morning, the day went just fine.
