~(Y/N)'s POV~

When I woke up in the pods, I was a little confused, until I remembered everything that happened. I could tell the Paladins had questions, but Allura was quite clear that they had to train, so I got in my everyday clothes and stood in the bridge with her and Coran while the others got to their lions. I sighed, knowing that Pidge would ask about Jordan when she came back. All the lions except Yellow were out in front of the castle."... Should someone go in after him?" Lance asked. Before anyone could answer the Yellow lion finally arrived."Hey, sorry, everybody. Seriously, though, can't they park these things, like, a little closer to the Bridge?"

I shock my head a little at Hunks comment. Shiro spoke up,"All right, guys. Let's just fly in tight formation until we're totally in sync." Allura brings up something like a video chat with the Paladins,"Feel the bond with your Lions and your fellow pilots until five become one unit and you form Voltron!" The Paladins let out an enthusiastic 'Yeah!' and then another, followed by another, you get the idea. Soon though their enthusiasm died,"Whoo... Am I the only one who's still pretending to be excited?" Hunk asked, Shiro sighed a little,"Clearly, this isn't working. Let's set down for a little bit." Keith made a suggestion that I couldn't help but roll my eyes at a little,"Maybe we should be building Voltron from the ground up." Shiro seemed a little confused,"What do you mean?"

"I mean, let's try literally building Voltron, like, stacking on top of each other."The red paladin elaborated. "Like a cheerleader pyramid?" Lance asked. Keith sighed a little in frustration,"You got a better idea?" Shiro spoke up,"It's worth a try." I couldn't help but groan a little and pinch the bridge of my nose, "This isn't going to work..." They all stack their lions on top of each other except Hunk is on top."Hunk, what are you doing?" My half-brother asked a little confused. "What do you mean?" Hunk replied with his own question."You're supposed to be the leg, over there." Shiro replied. Hunk shock his head,"What? No. No, no, no. I'm pretty sure that when we did it last time, I was the head. Right?" Lance then yelled at the yellow paladin,"You yelled, 'I'm a leg!'"

"Yeah, I was yelling a lot of things." Hunk replied."Shiro's the head." Keith was clearly getting frustrated."All the time?" Hunk asked. Shiro sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose,"Let's just try it my way for now." Hunk sighed as well,"Okay, but next time I call head." The paladins then stack the lions properly and Shiro carefully lands black on the others."Okay. Arms and legs... and I'll form the head. Feel the bonds with your Lions. Now, channel your energy into forming Voltron. Focus... Focus..." Shiro closed his eyes, but nothing happened, "Is everyone bonding and focusing?" Lance groaned, "Why was this so much easier before?"

Shiro sighed,"Let's take a break." Allura then reappears on everyone's screens,"Sorry to interrupt, but I may be able to help. Yesterday, you weren't able to form until you were in the heat of battle." The princess grabbed everyone's attention. Everyone replied with some variation of yes, so the princess continued,"Perfect. Because I need to run a diagnostic test on all of the Castle's defenses. This should help!" Allura then started firing at the paladins. At first I was just as shocked as those in the lions, but when they started to freak out I couldn't help but laugh a little."Okay, go, go!" Lance called out. Keith's panic voice was also heard, "Allura, what are you doing?!" Allura just smiled,"Running a diagnostic test on the Castle defenses and inspiring you! I believe in you, Paladins! Let fear be your guide! Form Voltron!" Lance groaned,"Oh, forget this! I'm heading back to the Castle!"

"Please stop! Please! Have mercy on us!" Hunk screamed out. Allura appeared on his screen,"You think Zarkon is going to have mercy on you? He's probably on his way right now to destroy us all!" Allura presses a button and walks away, "Come on (Y/N). I'll show you to your room." I smiled at her, "Sure." I walked with the princess though the halls of the castle. It was quiet, but comfortable, Allura stopped in front of a door. "This is your room." She pointed to the one across the hall, "That one is Keith's and the others are further down." I smiled at her,  "Thank you, princess. I appreciate this." Allura smiled and walked away. I sighed and looked at the ground for a bit. I hated this, lying to her and not telling her what I am, but I know she won't accept that side pf me. I don't know if any of them will.

I sigh and wipe the small tears from my eyes. I felt something brush against my leg, looking down I saw familiar shadowy fur. I smiled and pet his head, "I'm fine Kage, just a lot on my mind. I'm happy to see you in your physical form again." Kage howled and nudged me towards the lounge area of the castle. I smiled at him, "Okay, okay. I'm going." I laugh as Kage disappears into the shadows and walked down the halls."You did it! You formed Voltron!" I heard Allura call out in joy as I turned the corner to see four exhausted Paladins sitting down. "No. The shooting stopped and the particle barrier shut down, so we just flew in." Keith replied. Allura's joy turned to shock,"What?" I stepped into the room and lent against a wall, no one seemed to notice me.

"Oh, right. Uh, sorry, Princess. I had to turn off the Castle defenses to test the fire suppressors." Coran enlightened the princess. Shiro soon entered the room,"What are you guys doing in here? We're not taking a break." Allura nodded in agreement,"Shiro's right. You should be training." Hunk sunk further into the chair,"We've been training. When are we going back to Earth?" Pidge looked at the yellow paladin,"I'm not going back until I find my family." Shiro placed his hand on his hip, "Guys, there won't be an Earth if we don't figure out how to fight Zarkon." Lance leaned back,"How are we going to fight? We can't even figure out how to form Voltron." Coran twirled his mustache,"Well, I'm not surprised. You know, the original Paladins fought hundreds of battles together, side-by-side. They were like a pack of Yalmors linked at the ears."

"Wow. Yeah, that's definitely not us." Lance pointed out. I smiled, "Well if you guys actually worked as a team, you could get close." Everyone jumped Lance fell from seat, "(Y/N)?! When did you get there?!" I laughed at Lance's surprise, "I'm guessing I got here just after Allura." They all looked at me and I shrugged, "I'm pretty good at sneaking around and going unnoticed." Coran spoke up again,"During the last attack, your survival instincts forced you to work as a team, but that will only get you so far. You'll have to become a real team to have any chance of forming Voltron and then beating Zarkon next time. You should try working out on the Training Deck." My eyes lit up a bit at the mention of a training deck, Hunk seemed confused, "There's a Training Deck?"
