JENNIE PLACED HER electronic device down on the bed just next to her, near her head. She was in some kind of darkness, she ought to find the current state of the room to be relaxing, the lamp being the only light softly illuminating the walls, some songs playing from her phone at a low volume.

It was still quite dark outside, and things were silent. It was four in the morning after all. Jennie had been able to sleep well for a good amount of hours, enough for her body to rest.

She looked out the window, with the curtains drawn. She found it pleasing to be looking at the scenery from the hotel's windows. They felt comforting in her eyes.

Still laid down on the bed, she takes her phone to check if her friend Lisa had sent anything else—but there were no updates yet. Then, as she looked at her phone longer, she remembered that she had told Jisoo that she would be texting her in the morning, then pausing the music playing from her phone. She wanted to send a message to her now, even if it may seem too early in the morning to do so.
