After the Monica escapade, I actually did eat with Gus and his family. Along with Isaac. But no Monica, because she did end up getting rejected by the blind man.
"How are you feeling Hazel?" Gus's dad asked.
"I'm good. Light headed a bit, but good." I smiled.
"Do you need some water?" Gus asked.
"No, I can get it myself." I started to get up, and sat back down, breathing heavy.
I looked at my oxygen tank, which had been set to 2 liters a minute.
To be clear, that. Is. Not. Enough. Air. For. A. Human. To. Breath. I quickly turned it up to 5.
I hoped it would kick in soon enough.
"Hazel Grace?" Gus held my hand.
"Pen, paper...?" I breathed. He nodded right away.
I wrote down that some one had turned down my oxygen flow, and that hopefully i'd be OK in a few minutes.
Let's just say, I wasn't.

As my vision came into focus, I saw my parents, Gus, and his parents crowded around me.
"Oh, honey. We were so worried." Mom said.
"What..what happened again?" I asked.
"Almost five minutes after you wrote what happened, you fainted into my lap." Gus's eyes were filled with concern.
"Oh."
"Do you know who turned down your machine?" Gus's mom asked.
"No idea. I know it wouldn't be any of you, so it was either Monica or an object I tripped on or something." I said.
"Hmm." Gus pondered.
I guess it didn't matter. I was gonna be okay.
