Diffident

modest or shy because of a lack of self-confidence.

I made myself look pretty,
only for my anxieties
to devour me.

I'm swimming away
as fast as I can,
but I just freeze up.
I don't know
what to say anymore.

I want to talk to you,
but I feel like everything,
that comes out of my mouth
sounds stupid,
and embarrassing.

You're perfection
in my eyes,
you are a mysterious story,
that I crave to read.

My heart goes berserk
when you are there,
I can't even process anything,
my feet can't move.

The only thing that I can do,
Is stare at the floor,
as my bones break,
because I know,
my dreams,
will never come true.
Nothing ever works out for me.

There's no hope left,
I'm a bullet wound.
