feelings of anxiety or dismay, typically at something unexpected.

It was so loud,
burning like ferocious, murderous poison,
paralyzing bodies it engulfed with it's noiselessness like being splashed with an abrasive, acidic ocean,
melting disintegrating skin that yearned for just one single, coaxing word.
Please say something.
But there was no sign of movement,
no voice, not a budge.
Just petrifying, blood-curdling, cataclysmic silence.
