I fixed my black dress as I got out of the rented Toyota 86 GTS, taking a deep breath I took a step forward. This was it, the final goodbye.

"You okay?" Toby asked coming to stand beside me.

"I don't- I can't," my voice wavered and I clutched onto his arm as my head spun.

"You don't have to be here, if it's too much I'll take you home," Damian whispered coming up beside me and wrapping his arms around me tightly.

"No, I have to do this," I said quietly sniffling a little to try and keep my tears in.

"Here," Tabby handed me a white handkerchief and I nodded my head as a thanks.

"Come on," Toby offered me a weak smile and dad let go of me.

We walked through the Remma cemetery past the graves and towards the group of people in black surrounding a particular one. Mum had told dad years ago that she had wanted to be buried in Remma, as that's where all her best memories were. It was Thursday and her will was due to be read the following Saturday.

I kept my head low ignoring the sad looks I got from mums old friends and some of her family, her brother Cameron was here, as well as Tyler and Taylor and grandma. I didn't even bother to question their presence though.

The priest started the service but I tuned it out, I was saying goodbye, she was really gone... Forever.

Even though it was an empty casket because of the whole murder case it still felt like she was in there. I remember the last time I saw her, she was in hospital and although she looked worn the doctors said she was getting better.

"How is she doctor?" I asked my eyes not leaving Tanya's sleeping body.

"She's be doing a lot better actually, her body doesn't seem like it's rejecting the transfer, but it's still strange that she hasn't woken up," my mothers private doctor said to me as she stood by the door.

"Has things like this happen before? With others?"

"Yes it has, people stay in comas for months, years even, and they wake up, so I wouldn't worry too much," she offered me a soft smile.

"Thanks doc, for everything you've done," I smiled lightly back at her.

The memory replayed in my head, she was doing fine, due to wake up at any moment.

But she didn't, and she would never.

"Jackie," dad nudged me slightly gesturing for me to say the eulogy I had prepared.

I sniffled a little but walked up to the front, pulling out my paper I looked down at the words I had scribbled.

"Tanya wouldn't win any worlds best mother awards- she wasn't always there growing up, she had her dark days, a bit more dark then others- But when she was there, as my mother, as I started growing up, she was my role model, my best friend, someone I could tell all my secrets too--," I cut myself short, if I had gone on for longer it would've not been audible.

"Tiara," the priest nodded as I walk back to my group.

My grandmother stepped in front of the crowd, her features grim and she didn't hold that air of authority, she was vulnerable.

"My daughter, even though we had disconnected for a while due to it being my fault, was beautiful in everyday possible, she was the strongest person I knew, something that was passed down to her daughter. Although she didn't have the nicest last few years, she never lost her strength, she fought so hard for what she wanted even if she went about it in the wrong way... She was not only a daughter, a mother, a friend, a lover, but she was a role model, that taught us anything is possible if be put effort into it, heaven has another angel now," her eyes were blood shot by the time she had finished but not a single tear had leaked.
