68. Code.

I was hit awake, groaning slightly I opened my eyes. Penny stood over me a smirk playing on her lips. A stinging pain was on my cheek to where she had slapped me.

"Five more minutes mum," I mumbled sarcastically.

She glared and hit me again, this time she punched an the force made my chair move. I tasted the metallic taste of blood in my mouth and sighed deciding to shut my mouth so I wouldn't get myself killed.

"Smart move," her smirk was back and she stepped away from me.

Walking over to the metal table, she eyed the empty water bottle strangely, but before thinking to much of it she shrugged it off and picked up the blow torch, "I found this in my fathers shed, and for some reason I thought of you."

"Shouldn't before you kill me tell me the rest of the story so after you finish I can escape and you can get arrested, just like the movies," yeah I couldn't stop that one.

Putting the blow torch back down she grabbed the chair and sat in front of me, "this won't be like the movies, because your not getting away from this one."

Close your mouth Jackie.

"I'm guessing your pretty curious as to how I know the things no one should," her eyes darkened with mischief.

"Not really, I'm curious to who you have blackmailed," I shrugged slightly.

"Hmm... I'm not sure if I'll be able to name them all.."

"Name the ones I'm familiar with," I rolled my eyes.

"Well Kate obviously and Kelly, Kain, Zac for a bit, Jake, Wayne, Jordan, Jesse this one time, Charles, Tilly, a few of the agents at the GTO, Connor and even little gay Scott, he was less cooperative though."

I swallowed the betrayal that I was feeling down, they had helped make my misery even after all the stuff I had done for them, "Your disgusting."

She ignored the half hearted insult, "out of that list of people you would've thought one of them could've mentioned something, put a stop to it all. But I guess no one really cared that much about you in the end."

Don't let it get to you Jackie, for all you know she could be lying.

As if she was reading my mind, "and why would I lie to you right now? I know the truth hurts more then anything else."

"Your never going to get away with this Penny," I spat at her each word dripping with venom.

And just like the cliché kidnapper would say, "I already have."

I lunged again trying to get closer to her to hurt her or anything really, pain shot through my shoulder though and I felt like I had just ripped something. I stopped my movement letting out a cry in pain, tears trickled down my face to my displeasure.

"You should probably get that looked at Jackie."

That was all I heard before the pain took entirely over and blackness filled my vision.

Logan's POV

"It's been a day and still no clue as to where Jackie is? What the hell is wrong with your task force? Do they all suck?" Toby muttered angrily.

We had been here all night while they tried to track down Penny, but she had done a good job with going under the radar. From what Kate had told us she was responsible for everything, and the people who were associated with her plan are in custody.

Whether they walked free or not was Jackie's choice.

"What if it's too late, what if she's already gone...." Jesse whispered to himself.
