You Can't Hide From Them

It was a sunny and lazy day. I was watching Netflix with a friend at their apartment when all of a sudden, we were under attack...

From window washers.

They had us surrounded, both the front door and the back windows and the ridiculously tiny balcony of splinters.

The noise of pressure washers hit the windows and then, to my horror, there was a man on a ladder literally outside the second story apartment. His shadow was cast against the window, making an awkward black void where the bright sunlight had been filtering through. I was lying on the couch, I couldn't care less if he was able to see through the blinds or not, I jumped up  and hid. Our cheesy movie playing obnoxiously loud in the living room.

My friend had gone to the restroom, and laughed at me when they found me hiding in a corner of the hallway where windows were far and few. The window washers left soon, and I settled uncomfortably back down.

And this is why I will always clean my own home.

-Ciao!
