Library Contradiction

I was alone looking for books about the BiFrost when, out of nowhere, Loki entered.

He watched me, watching him. Then he spoke, “What a contradiction you are. You avoid me at all costs and yet you cannot hide the curiosity in your eyes.” I ignored him but he started walking around me like a panther walks around its prey.

Then he spoke again, “The hope in your action, when I am near. You will not find out more, nor can you deny how much you wish to know about me.” He chuckled mockingly and I rolled my eyes. But he didn’t continue, he just paced around me like a caged animal.

He cleared his throat before continuing, “But you shall, nay, will never find out.” He smirked “No one has and no one will. For I am a puzzle, you must put together. Piece by excruciating piece. Until you know all. Then I will tell you.” he walked away and the door closed with a heavy thud.

I finally started to breathing again. He was gone from the room, I could finally read in peace.
