You watched as the android was put into the police car, you sighed in relief. They could have went way worse. Connor turned his head to look down at you.

"Detective (Y/L/N)? Are you alright?"  he questioned, you watched as his eyes trailed down to where your hands were. You quickly let go of him, you were so shaken up that you didn't notice you had been gripping onto his arm during the last bit of that ordeal.

"Y-yes. I'm fine." you quickly answered

Connor stared at your hands, you assumed he was scanning them
"Luckily, you were only slightly damaged and that it was nothing serious."

You looked down at your scraped palms,
"Oh," you opened and closed your hands just to feel the sting, "I didn't even notice."

Connor looked up at Hank as he approached,
"Christ, I'm glad you both are okay."

"You're not the only one." you looked up at him

"Lieutenant, would you mind if I made sure Ms. (Y/L/N) made it home safely..?" Connor asked, Hank nodded and handed him the keys to his car.

"I'll get a ride to the station. Once you get her there meet me back at the station, we still need to interrogate the suspect."

"I don't need to help with the interrogation?" you asked

"Nah, me and Connor can handle it. You should get some rest, we'll need you alert tomorrow in case another incident gets called in," Hank patted your shoulder "You did good, kid." he gave you a small smile before going to speak with the other cops that were still there. You walked back to Hank's car and got in with Connor, he started the car up and headed back to your home. Once you returned Connor got out and opened your door for you.

"Thank you." you softly smiled as you got out. Connor shut the door and followed behind you as you entered the house, the automatic lights turned on.

"Where do you keep your first aid?" he asked as he shut the door behind him

"I have some hydrogen peroxide and band-aids in my bathroom cabinet...does that count."

He nods,
"I'll help you then." he walked toward your bathroom, you followed him

"Connor you don't have to do that, I can do it myself." you watched as he searched through cabinet

"Please. Allow me," he closed the cabinet once he retrieved both items along with some cotton balls. You nodded and went to sit on the toilet seat. He approached and kneeled before you, "I'm sorry." he poured some of  the hydrogen peroxide onto one of the cotton balls

"About what?" you watched him

"It's my fault that you got hurt, the whole situation was my fault." he held your hand and begin to rub the disinfectant onto the scrapes and burns on your hand; you tensed a bit at the feeling of it bubbling between the broken skin.

"What? Connor, it's not your fault. Plus, I'm fine..." you smiled to reassure him but he didn't return any kind of smile like he normally did

"Ms. (Y/L/N), if I had stayed by your side then that wouldn't have happened. I shouldn't have split up from you." he took a few band-aids from the box and spread them across the major cuts in your hand

"Well, you protected me in the end. That's all that matters to me." you attempted to reassure him

"I suppose. I won't let it happen again." he began to repeat what he did before on your other hand

"(Y/N)." you softly smiled

"What?" his soft brown eyes met yours

"Please, just call me (Y/N)."

"(Y/N)," he repeated your name softly, for some odd reason it made your cheeks feel hot, "If that's what you'd prefer that's what I will call you from now on." he finished putting the bandages on your hand and looked them over before standing up to return the supplies to your cabinet.

"Thank you, Connor."

"You're welcome, (Y/N)," he gives you a small smile, "I'm sure Lieutenant is waiting for me, I'll see you tomorrow at work?"

"Of course, I'll be there." you stood and followed him to the front door

"You have a safe night, (Y/N)." he opens the door

"You too, Connor." you smiled to yourself as you watched him return to the car. You shut the door and locked it before you returned to your room. You changed back into your pajamas and laid down to return to your slumber.
