Palace guards running out of the prison cells, trying to help the other guards outside. There has been an attack on Asgard; the remaining dark elves under Malekith's command attacked Asgard to avenge their vanquished leader.
Thor immediately exited Loki's cell to help fend off the enemies.
"I'll be right back!" Thor said before exiting Loki's cell and running out of the prison.
When he reached the palace, not only did he saw dark elves fighting off the guards, he also saw frost giants that seemed like they teamed up with the elves to attack Asgard. Thor helped fought off elves as well as the frost giants. He was about to attack a frost giant charging towards him but it dodge his attack and instead ran towards the prison, he thought that it might be intending on freeing some of the prisoners so he charged towards the frost giant and smashed it with his hammer, soon an army of frost giants charged towards his direction; some were smashed by his hammer, some successfully entered the prison.
Loki heard heavy footsteps approaching and when he peeked, he is greeted by a frost giant that is about to claw the enchanted glass of his cell, he took a step back in fear, but before the giant touched the glass, he was pinned down by Thor's hammer, the hammer bounced back to Thor's hand and he threw it again to the upcoming frost giants
"What is happening?!" Loki asked in panic and astonishment
"Dark elves, frost giants... they are attacking the Palace" Thor answered catching the hammer that is flying back to his hand
"Why?" Loki asked again in a shaky voice
"GET HIM!" a frost giant screamed
Thor saw another bunch of frost giants charging towards their direction, and he took his stance defending Loki's cell
"GIVE US THE FROST GIANT!" one of the giants screamed
Thor slightly trembled as he had an idea who is "the frost giant" they are talking about
"What do you want from him?!" Thor growled as he remained in his stance shielding Loki's cell
"WE'RE BRINGING HIM BACK HOME" a frost giant hissed with a devilish grin
"Over my dead body!" Thor said through gritted teeth before he attacked, he fought all of them with all his might protecting the cell that holds his dearest brother. While Loki is inside watching the scene with fear and worry, he ran towards the enchanted glass of his cell and screamed
"Thor, let me go! Let me help you!" Loki screamed through the glass trying to get Thor's attention, his attention was caught by an army of dark elves charging towards Thor who still got his hands full fending off a bunch of giants by himself, worry laced over his feature "Thor! Dark elves!" he screamed
Thor winced at the sight of the new batch of enemies charging towards him, losing his patience he hit them with the lightning of his hammer, killing all of them all at once.
"Get out of the way!" Thor ordered Loki who instinctively backed further away to give way, using the Mjolnir, Thor destroyed the glass of the cell causing an impact that sent both Loki and Thor flying backwards.
Thor immediately got up and went to Loki who is still struggling to get up, "come brother, let's get you out of here" Thor said in a gentle manner
"They are attacking because of me, Thor! They wanted me!" Loki pointed out
"I know brother, don't worry, I'll protect you" Thor assured
"No you shouldn't!" Loki protested "they will continue to attack if you don't hand me to them"
