But it wasn't something a small kiss and hug couldn't fix.
However, it was the first time your child(ren) had seen you cry or even have heard you yell, and when he went into his/her/their room, he found him/her/them crying on their bed, sobbing how mommy and daddy hated each other.

"Aww baby, it's okay. Mommy and daddy aren't mad anymore and we don't hate each other. Come here, let's go make some cookies with mommy okay? I'm sorry we scared you sugar plum."

"Look son, me and your mother had a misunderstanding. All people do. But we solved it, fixed it, apologized, and are okay now. We don't hate each other. I can't hate that little minion no matter how angry we get. I'm sorry if we scared ya tho. Wanna go play some video games to make up for it?"
