"It feels like I haven't talked to you guys in forever," (Y/n) chuckled, looking into the magical dust projections that formed from her bracelet. Out of one bead she could see Ray, and out of another she saw Luca. Luna was out with her father so she couldn't talk with them today.

Luca chuckled back in response, "I know, it's been two long," he admitted with a warm smile.

"Sorry about all the noise, there's so much stuff going on outside," (y/n) explained apologetically, giving her friends a small smile, "I don't know if you can hear it, but I can," she chuckled.

Ray shook their head, "most of the background noise is muffled, we can barely hear anything besides you," they promised.

Luca's smile grew, " Cause Ray's a genius who thinks of all that extra boring stuff that we wouldn't think about," he explained with a chuckle.

Ray felt a light blush spread across their face, "I'm not a genius," they proclaimed awkwardly. They rubbed the back of their neck nervously, hoping the red on their cheeks wasn't as obvious as they felt it was.

"Yes, and I'm not sitting in my bathroom right now to keep my parents from hearing us," Luca proclaimed sarcastically. A large grin spreading across his face.

(Y/n) chuckled, "this is when we find out Luca should actually be in Slytherin," she teased. She adjusted her bracelet on her wrist, and her image flickered on the other ends of the call.

Luca laughed, "I can't be in Slytherin it would ruin your collection!" He proclaimed.

(Y/n) raised an eyebrow at him, "My 'collection'?" She asked with a light giggle.

Ray nodded, "You're good friends with two people from each house," they explained, "the Gryfindors: Harry and Hermione, The Hufflepuffs: Cedric and Luca, The Ravenclaws: me and Luna, and the Slytherins: Blaise and Dr..." they stopped mid name, their voice trailing.

There was an long awkward silence between the three of them, no one wanted to say anything. Ray swallowed and rubbed the back of their neck nervously.

(Y/n) didn't look at either of them, instead she sat in silence, suddenly finding her lap far more interesting than her bracelet.

Luca cleared his throat, "maybe I was meant to be in Slytherin," he forces a chuckle, "after all, it's not that hard to become friends with a Hufflepuff, you'd find another one," he teased.

(Y/n) smiled slightly, "Yeah, you're probably right," she shook her head and looked back up at her bracelet.

A muffled voice came through (Y/n)'s end of the call, "hey, (y/n)?" it called.

(Y/n) turned her head to face where the voice had come from, "yeah?" she answered.

"Dinner will be ready in about fifteen," the faceless voice stated.

(Y/n) nodded, the voice wasn't faceless to her of course, she knew it was Jacob standing in her doorway talking to her, "okay, I'll be done soon," she promised, giving Jacob a small smile.

A quiet sound of a door shutting sounded through (y/n)'s end of the call, pressumably Jacob leaving her room. (y/n) turned her attention back to the call with a small apologetic smile.

Ray smiled as well, and in the back of their mind they were secretly glad that Luca and (y/n) couldn't see where they were sitting at that moment in time, glancing around their large room quickly before taking their attention back to their two friends. Ray hadn't told Luca or (Y/n) about their... "status," and they never really planned on it, they liked being treated like everyone else.
