A/N: Sorry this took me a while to update. I wanted it to be a big chapter and somewhat of a musical kinda sorta, and I succeeded. This is a little light and fluffy. Also, I'm going through some stuff right now, so idrk how often these updates are going to be. Hopefully, this book will be over before November. No promises, though. DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF ANNE-MARIE'S 2002, SHAWN MENDES' SOMETHING BIG, NOR BRUNO MARS' JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. I left out a couple of verses in JTWYA so bear with me.

It was a Tuesday in mid-June. Kara and Lena were underneath a big oak tree in the park, relaxing in the shade. Kara was strumming a few chords on her guitar, and Lena sketching in her sketchbook.

"This probably has to be one of our relaxing dates yet," Kara comments before sipping her iced chai latte.

"Definitely. Play something for me?"

Kara grins before she starts playing and singing.

I will always remember the day you kissed my lips
Light as a feather
And it went just like this
No, it's never been better
Than the summer of 2002
We were only eleven
But acting like grownups
Like we are in the present, drinking from plastic cups
Singing, "love is forever and ever"
Well, I guess that was true

Dancing on the hood in the middle of the woods
Of an old Mustang, where we sang
Songs with all our childhood friends
And it went like this, yeah

Oops I got ninety-nine problems singing bye, bye, bye
Hold up, if you wanna go and take a ride with me
Better hit me, baby, one more time
Paint a picture for you and me
Of the days when we were young
Singing at the top of both our lungs

Now we're under the covers
Fast forward to eighteen
We are more than lovers
Yeah, we are all we need
When we're holding each other
I'm taken back to 2002

Dancing on the hood in the middle of the woods
Of an old Mustang, where we sang
Songs with all our childhood friends
And it went like this, yeah

Oops I got ninety-nine problems singing bye, bye, bye
Hold up, if you wanna go and take a ride with me
Better hit me, baby, one more time
Paint a picture for you and me
Of the days when we were young
Singing at the top of both our lungs
On the day we fell in love
On the day we fell in love

Dancing on the hood in the middle of the woods
Of an old Mustang, where we sang
Songs with all our childhood friends
Oh, now

Oops I got ninety-nine problems singing bye, bye, bye
Hold up, if you wanna go and take a ride with me
Better hit me, baby, one more time
Paint a picture for you and me
Of the days when we were young
Singing at the top of both our lungs
On the day we fell in love
On the day we fell in love
On the day we fell in love
On the day we fell in love
On the day we fell in love, love, love

Lena takes her face and kisses her once she finishes singing, feeling Kara's lips smile against her own, making her smile as well. "You're so talented and I love it."

"So are you with your drawing." Kara tries to peek at her sketchbook, but Lena snatches it and brings it close to her body, covering it before she could see.

"I'm not done." Kara groans in response. "Relax, baby. Give me a few minutes and then-" Both Lena's and Kara's phone went off at the same moment, which only meant it was one of the group chats they were both in. Lena takes out her phone and eyes it.
