I froze, "What?" My voice cracked
"He has-"
"I know what you said!" I snapped, "Sorry," I whispered quickly after, "Why didn't he tell me!?" I whispered softly
"He's embarrassed by it," Marcus said, "That's why he was struggling so much with his Literature homework, but's apparently not just that class he struggles with others too but since English involves more reading and writing it's harder..."
I frowned, "I can't believe he's embarrassed by it," I said, "I wish he told me at least, I wouldn't have judged him."
"I know you wouldn't have but he doesn't want anyone knowing."
"Wait, how did you find out? I thought he didn't like you," My eyes narrowed, "And Besides, he came over my house once and I helped him with a class and she seem to have understood it fine."
"My little brother has Dyslexia and I always help him with homework, so I kind of started to noticed as I was helping Zach," He explained, "But you can't tell him I told you."
I bit my lip, "But-"
"No buts, if he finds out that I told you he'll be pissed off with me," Marcus told me in me in a stern tone, "Got it?" I nodded
"See you later," He smiled
I waved walking to meet up Christ, "Mei are you sure that you're okay?" He asked worriedly
"Yeah, I'm good," I smiled
His eyes narrowed, "Okay," He said as if he wasn't sure, "I don't believe you but I'm not gonna push you for questions."
"Thanks," I told him, "And you know you can talk to me about whatever is going on with your family right?" I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear
"Yeah," He whispered, "Thanks," He told me a little louder
"Of course," I said with a small smile before opening up my lunch which contained yogurt, a protein bar, and ruffles
Yes, I said ruffles. I know I'm weird when it comes to packing lunch, but in my defense, I was rushing this morning. But then again, when am I not rushing in the morning?
Christ noticed this, and started laughing, "Yogurt, protein bar and ruffles? That's what you have packed for lunch?" He asked still laughing
"I was in a rush! Now shut up!" I said smacking his arm, as I ate my food my phone received a text
Unknown: Be careful with the choices you make. Or else, you may find yourself in a bad situation with your friends.
I gasped, "What is it?" Christ asks trying to look at my phone
I shut it off, "I remembered that I uh, forgot to give my teacher an extra credit I uh did."
"Really? You? I find that hard to believe," Christ laughs
"Well, nobody's perfect Christ," I muttered
"Yeah, but when it comes to school you're a perfectionist."
I tied my hair up into a ponytail, "That is true," I grinned
