During class, Steven and I both agreed to stay after school together so we could start working on the project already.

Once school was over, I had told Christ already that I was staying after to work on a project. I was at my locker grabbing my English stuff for the project and my things for other classes for homework.

The halls were basically empty, and Steven and I exchange numbers and he texted me saying that he was already waiting for me in the library.

As I started to put some of my stuff into my backpack, I heard a noise. It sounded like people talking, I heard the lockers slam. Curious, I quickly shut my locker and look a little bit further down the hall. And I see Tom and Chase, they both had a girl pushed against a locker.

By the look of her face, she seemed to be in pain considering Tom had his hand around her neck and Chase was pinning her hands to the side to prevent her from leaving or defending herself.

I couldn't hear what they were telling her but I saw tears streaming down her face as they continued to scream in her face. Quickly, I saw one of Chase's hand raised, he looked like he was going to hit her.

My eyes widened, I quickly ran over to them, not caring that I dropped my backpack while it's open with my textbooks and binders falling out.

"Hey!" I yelled, "Get off of her!" I yelled pushing them both off of her with all the force I could, "Get off her!" I screamed again when they were away from her, "What do you think you're doing!?" I exclaimed angrily as the girl started coughing rapidly holding her neck gently

"Stay out of this Mei twig!" Tom yelled angry as well, "Unless you want to get hurt too I suggest you walk away now!" Tom yelled at me with a harsh

"No!" I told him with confidence, "You guys are hurting the poor girl!" I exclaimed, "Her neck is red!" I yelled at them pointing to her neck, "What the heck!" I yelled at the

Suddenly, Tom pushed me against the lockers very harshly causing my back to hurt badly, "I said stay out of this!" He screamed in my face

"And I said no!" I yelled back, "I'm not staying out of this!" I told him

The girl continued to cough, "No, please...stop," The girl told me in a weak tone, "You'll only make it worse for you, please," She coughed while begging

"Then so be it," I said to her while looking at Tom with a serious tone, "But I'm not staying out of this," I said in a stern tone

"You'd actually rather help someone even with knowing you can get hurt in the process too?" Chase asked me, "You're stupid," He told me in between laughs, "Why would you want to do that anyway?" He scoffed still laughing

"Because I'm doing something that I wished people would have done for me a long time ago," I told him in a distressing tone

Tom and Chase both looked at each other and laughed darkly, "Fine," Tom said, "You didn't want to stay out of it, then so be it," Tom said in a mocked with a dark smile plastered on his face before walking away with Chase

When they were both finally out of sight the girl looked at me and finally spoke up, "Thank you," She told me sounding grateful, "I really appreciate that you stood up for me," She told me in a soft tone, "Even if it resulted in you getting hurt," She told me with a guilty look plastered on her face

"It's no problem really," I told her truthfully, "We all should be sticking up for each other, right?" I asked letting out a chuckle

The girl wiped away her tears, "Yeah," She responded letting out a small laugh while grabbing her backpack off the floor which reminded me that mine was still on the floor as well
