Chapter Thirty-One: I'm Sorry

During my free period at school I went up to the library alone to work on some homework, and because I was still trying to process what happened at lunch.

The question is why? Why were the guys dating them? I'm not saying that they can't date whoever they want, because they can but, Adrian and Zach know that D'Arcy and Jackie always bully me, so why were they dating them?

I also thought about Felix and Allie, Allie was nice so I completely understood as to why they would like each other. But I didn't think they did, at least not in that way. I'm glad that Felix is dating someone that is kind, but for some reason, knowing that Felix and Allie are dating kind of hurts. And I couldn't understand why them two dating hurt me.

After I had complete two entire homework assignments, I decided to text lacrosse anon.

Me: Hey.

Lacrosse anon: Hey, what's up?

Me: Nothing, I just need someone to talk to, I've had a stressful day so far.

Lacrosse anon: Well, I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better I've had a terrible week.

Me: Thanks but, that only makes me feel bad for you.

Lacrosse anon: You don't have to its okay.

Me: By the way, you never told me that Mrs. Meyers is your aunt!

Lacrosse anon: Yeah, she is, how did you find out?

Me: She told me.

As I was texting lacrosse anon, I saw movement come from the seat across from me, I looked up in confusion and saw Tom sitting down across from me opening up a textbook and a binder.

I stared at him blinked rapidly in confusion, "Uh what are you doing here?" I asked him

"Aren't you suppose to be tutoring me?" Tom says arching an eyebrow

I raised my eyebrows, "Wait, you're still actually agreeing to that?" I asked him surprised

Tom rolls his eyes, "Just help me," Tom says to me annoyed

After I had tutored Tom for a bit, Tom decided to stop working because he needed a break, "Can I ask you a question?" I spoke up after a moment

Tom looks up to me from his phone emotionless and raises his eyebrows as if asking 'what?'

"Why have you been acting so different all of the sudden?" I asked him

"Different?" Tom asks me

I nodded, "Yeah, you don't usually talk to me unless it's a threat or you're hurting me," I told him

"I'm not acting different," Tom said to me flatly

"Yes you are," I responded back with a stern tone, "Tom I've known you since 6th grade, I've known you long enough to tell when you're acting different," I told him

"Forget it," Tom stood up, "I'm leaving," Tom
Told me grabbing his things together, "Goodbye Mei Twig," Tom told me a harsh tone rolling his eyes

As Tom started to leave I quickly packed up my stuff and ran out following Tom, when I had finally exited the library I was able to catch up to him, "Tom stop," I yelled from behind him, "I'm not letting you ignore me again," I told him but still he continued to walk faster and ignored me

I increased my pace and grabbed his wrist with my hand causing him to stop walking, "Tom stop," I told him as his back was still faced towards me, "What is going on?" I asked him in a serious tone
