Chapter Thirty-Nine: Plenty Of Fish In The Sea

It began to get very late and the party was still going on, but all of us had decided to leave early. Christ was already in the car waiting for Adrian and I, since Christ left early to turn it on.

While Adrian and I were walking to the car, he didn't bother mentioning anything about me knowing everything the guys were hiding. But I didn't bother bringing it up either way.

When we reached the car, I quickly got in the back seat so I was able to lay down and sleep until we got home.

When I had woken up thinking the cat was stopped, I realized it wasn't, and that I was not longer in Christ's car. I was in Adrian's car, and he was driving and it didn't look like he was taking me home.

I rubbed my eyes, "Hey where are you taking me? And when did I get in your car?" I asked him confused

"Well after Christ dropped me off, I told him that I had to talk to you about something important. And since you heavy sleeper I had to carry you to my car," Adrian explained, "You're really light you know, that right? It wasn't too hard to carry you," Adrian chuckled

"But where are we going?" I asked him again

"The cliff," Adrian answered

"But...it's night time," I told him

"So?" Adrian looked at me briefly as I looked away, "What are you scared of the dark?" Adrian asked me

"I'm scared of going to a cliff in the dark," I said looking back at Adrian

"Nothing's going to happen Mei," Adrian assured me, "Trust me," Adrian smiled at me

"I do," I said smiling back

"Since you also sleep through half of the car ride, we're here already," Adrian laughed

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever," I said getting out of the car, "Let me guess, you want to talk to me about my conversation with Marcus at the party?" I told him

"Bingo," Adrian said, "You're getting better knowing what I want to talk to you about."

"Well I'm learning from the best," I saw nudging his shoulder

Adrian smiled, "Anyways, that you know, since you and Marcus figured it out, I think I should actually explain to everything," Adrian said to me as we walked

"Explain to me? What do you mean explain to me everything? I thought I already figured it out," I told him Adrian

"You did, but I think you should know why we dated them," Adrian tells me

"By force, right?" I said

"Yes and no," Adrian answered

"What...does that mean?" I asked him puzzled

"Well yes because they were just going to keep bugging us until we yes," Adrian said making me laugh, "And no because we were trying to figure out who AA is," Adrian said

"Wait, you guys know about AA?" I asked Adrian shocked, "But the only person that knows about AA is-" I paused in realization, "Zach, he told you and Felix."

"Yeah he did," Adrian nodded, "Did you actually think that he was going to keep a secret from us?" Adrian said arching his eyebrow, "Yeah, that's right, he also told us how you wanted to keep a secret from us," Adrian told me, "Can I just ask why?" Adrian asked as we reached the cliff

Adrian and I both sat down as I spoke up, "I didn't want to worry you guys," I told him truthfully

"Well I would rather have you tell me and have me all stressed out, rather than not know and think that everything is fine," Adrian told me which made me smile, "By the way, AA said that something is going to happen on our school trip?" He asked with responding with a nod, "Do you know what?" Adrian asked

"I wished I did," I told him sighing

"Well we'll figure out who AA is soon," Adrian assured me, "I promise," Adrian smiled warmly

"I don't doubt it," I said, "But there is one thing that is confusing me," I told Adrian

"And what is that?" He asks me

"Allie doesn't seem like the type to force or bug someone to date her...so why is she dating Felix?" I asked Adrian

Adrian shrugs, "Maybe because Allie actually likes Felix," Adrian chuckled

"But she doesn't..." I said in a quiet voice

Adrian looked at me surprised, "What?"

"Of course you heard that," I rolled my eyes, "Marcus told Allie doesn't actually Felix, she likes Steven from our English class,"

"And how would Marcus know that?" Adrian asked me

"Because Allie's his sister," I answered, "Maybe it was to make Steven jealous...?"

"I don't think so, Allie doesn't seem like the type of person to do that either," Adrian said, "Well whatever her reason is, she shouldn't be dating Felix," Adrian said in a stern voice, "And I'm going to talk to her about it soon," Adrian told me

"Oh...?" I said confused

"What?" Adrian furrowed his eyebrows

I shrugged my shoulders, "Oh nothing," I told him with a small suspicious smile

I wondered...If Allie was the girl that Adrian was talking about, the one that he said he liked? He mentioned how the girl he liked someone else. And Allie likes Steven, so the pieces would match up together.

"Is it Allie?" I asked

Adrian looked at me confused, "What?" Adrian asks me

"The girl that you said you were in love with...it is Allie?" I asked Adrian

Adrian looks away from and simply looks down, "Oh...." I said taking that as a yes, "Well I'm sorry," I told him

"Sorry for what?" Adrian asks me looking puzzled

"Because it must hurt...being in love with someone and know that they have feelings for someone else," I answered him, "But I mean there's someone for everyone right? I have no doubt that you'll find someone one day, someone that who's maybe even better for you than Allie, and there's plenty of fish in the sea," I assured Adrian, "Plus, you're an awesome guy...so it shouldn't be too hard for you to get a girlfriend," I complimented him while nudging his shoulder

Then out of nowhere, Adrian hugs me. I hear him let out a small breath as he hugs me tightly.

"Thanks Mei," Adrian whispers over my shoulder, "I really needed to hear that."

I return Adrian's hug, "Anytime," I told him kindly
