Chapter Forty-Three: Field Trip

January 21st.

5 weeks later and today we were leaving for our school field trip, and my class and I were all standing outside with our luggage.

Once I had my luggage on the bus, I looked over and saw Allie and Felix interacting. I frowned as I watched as Felix looked at Allie with a certain look. A look that showed me how true his feelings were for her.

"If Felix hasn't broken up with Allie yet, then that means that he has feelings for her," Adrian says from beside me

I turned to look at Adrian and with a sad expression written on my face, "Felix does have feelings for you though, and I can also tell he knows that you return feelings for him," Adrian says to me, "But he's not doing anything about it."

I give Adrian a puzzled look, "But why? If he knows, shouldn't he feel confident to do something about it?" I asked

"Yeah, but there's something holding him back from doing so," Adrian answers

I put my attention back to Allie and Felix and watched as Felix puts his hand on Allie's left shoulder, "Then I'm doing it," I suddenly say

Adrian gives me a surprised look, "Wait, you're going to confess to him?" Adrian asks raising his eyebrows

"Yeah," I nodded, "If Felix isn't going to make a move then I'm doing so," I said boldly as I start walking up to Felix who was still talking to Allie, I quickly turn around and see Adrian struggling to get his luggage inside the bus

I look at Felix and then at Adrian, and walk over to Adrian grabbing his luggage, "You told him that quick?" Adrian asks me

I shook my head, "No, but I'd rather help you then confess to Felix," I told him, Adrian smiled as I loaded up his luggage for him, I grabbed Adrian's crutches for him and helped him on the stairs of the bus and handed him his crutches

"Thank God I'm getting off of these crutches at the end of this week," Adrian laughed as he sat down at a seat towards the center of the bus

I looked up front and saw an empty spot right next to Felix and that Allie was sat next to one of her friends, but instead, I sat down with Adrian.

"Wow, choosing to sit next to me over Felix?" Adrian grins, "I'm shocked, "Considering you have a crush on Felix I'd figure you would sit with him."

I returned a grin, "Yeah, but you're my favorite," I admitted

Adrian stares at me softly making me get a weird feeling in my chest, "And you're my favorite too," He says in a low voice

Allie's Pov

Before getting on the bus

"My parents really liked you," Felix told me, "They're hoping you can come over for dinner sometime again soon," Felix smiles

I smile at him but couldn't help but feel guilty at the fact that I was still lying to him about my feelings, "Felix I have to tell you something," I say nervously, "And I'm afraid you'll be angry with me."

Felix puts his hand on my shoulder, "Allie, whatever you say couldn't possibly could make me upset with you," Felix says reassuring me

I give him a sad smile, "I appreciate that, but when I tell you, you probably will get angry with me."

"I doubt that," Felix chuckles, "But tell me later everyone's getting on the bus."

End of Allie's Pov

Mei's Pov

I had taken a nap during almost the entire bus ride, and when I woke up I realized that I had fallen asleep with my head on Adrian's shoulder with his head laying on top of mine. I smiled as I stared at him as my heart pounded fast.
