Chapter Forty-Two: The Accident

I woke up in a hospital bed. I rubbed my eyes and I saw Felix standing next to me looking down at me smiling.

Felix kneeled down next to the bed, "How are you feeling?" Felix asked me in a concerned tone

"Fine," I said, "I'm fine I just..." I stop mid-sentence when I realized why I fainted in the first place, "Adrian," I said in a worried tone, "Where's Adrian!? I need to see him now!" I demanded

"Adrian's in the same hospital, he's in another room," Felix answered me, "And you can't leave right now, they just need to make a few more check-ups and then you're done."

"But I don't even know what's wrong with him! I need to see him now!" I exclaimed frustrated, "Felix please get the doctor so he can just finish and I can just see Adrian," I demanded in a low voice

"As you wish ma'am," Felix chuckled before leaving room

Once the doctor did a few more check-ups which took awhile, I was finally released and able to change back into my old clothes. Felix and I walked to the room Adrian was at, and when I walked in the room I saw Adrian laying in the hospital, he had a cut on his right cheek and his arms had cuts all over them as well as his left cheek and I noticed a lot of other injuries that Adrian had but I couldn't even describe it.

I quickly ran to Adrian and put my hand over his, "Adrian!" I exclaimed, "Are you okay?" I asked hugging him very gently, "What happened to you?" I asked in a soft concerned pulling away

Adrian gave me a smile, "I'm okay thankfully," Adrian assured, "My leg not so much though."

"What's wrong with your leg?" I asked him curiously

"It's broken," Adrian replied, "I have to stay in crutches for about 6 weeks or maybe longer," Adrian told me

I frowned, "I'm sorry, how did all this even happen to you?" I asked him

Adrian sighed, "Car accident," Adrian told me

"Well don't worry, I can help you carry your stuff to school and I'm sure Christ wouldn't mind picking you up to give you a ride to school and if you ever need-"

Adrian gave me a smile, "Thank you, Mei, I really appreciate that" He told me warmly

"Do you want anything to drink or eat?" I asked but Adrian but he shook his head, "Do you guys?" I asked Zach and Felix, Felix said yes and Zach also said yes but he wanted to come with

"Zach, can I ask you something?" I asked we left the room

"Shoot," Zach told me

"How come I fainted after you told me Adrian was in the hospital?" I questioned

"Because you were so in shocked that it left you to react severely," Zach told me

"I don't know why I did, to be honest," I told Zach truthfully

"I do," Zach says, I look at him confused, "Because you were so worried for him, because let's admit Adrian's you're favorite out of the three of us," Zach chuckled

"That's not true!" I exclaimed defensively

"Don't worry I'm not upset about it," Zach said to me with a grin

"But he's not! Besides, I have a crush on Felix remember?" I tell him

Zach raises his eyebrow, "You have a crush on Felix?" He asks

"Well, I uh guess I only told Adrian about that..." I said awkwardly

"Of course Adrian knew, he's your favorite," Zach playfully rolled his eyes, "And how long have you liked Felix for?" Zach asks me raising his eyebrow

"For no too long, and I didn't tell you on purpose! It just didn't come across my mind, besides Adrian was the one who kept nagging to me about I had a crush on Felix for a long but just never realized," I explained

"I always realized it too," Zach says, "It was always pretty obvious."

My eyes widened in realization, "Wait...do you think Felix knows that I like him then!?" I asked worried

"Most likely," Zach nods which makes me panic, "But the feelings mutual anyways so I wouldn't be too worried," Zach assures me

"I wouldn't be too sure about that," I shook my head, "Felix seems to like really have some feelings for Allie."

"You can have feelings for two people at the same time," Zach tells me as we both paid and got some food, "You know Mei, you shouldn't worry too much, I'm sure things will turn out the way they're supposed to be."

I sighed, "I hope so."

One of the worst things ever besides summer being over, was when school winter or spring break was over.

And as soon as Christ parked his car I quickly went to the trunk and grabbed Adrian's backpack and gym for him. And held both of his bags in my hand, I went to the side to help Adrian get out of the car since he was on crutches but he stops me.

Adrian chuckles, "Mei don't worry," Adrian assures me, "I can get out of the car on my own, you're already holding my stuff I don't want to have you do anything else for me."

I smile, "I don't mind helping you at all," I said

Adrian gives me a warm smile before we start heading towards the building. When we get inside I walk with Adrian to his locker, "Don't you need to get your stuff?" Adrien asks me

I nodded, "Yeah, I'm just going to drop off your backpacks and get my stuff then I'll come right back," I told him

When I arrived at my locker I saw D'Arcy standing in front of my locker with an angry expression and her arms crossed.

"I hope you're happy," D'Arcy says rudely

"Happy about what....?" I asked confused

"Adrian broke up with me," D'Arcy said glaring at me

It's about time.

"And how is that my fault exactly?" I asked her furrowing my eyebrows

"Not only that but Zach also broke up with Jackie," D'Arcy, "I don't know what you did to convince them to break up but we will get them back."

"I'd like to see you try," I scoffed, "Now if you'll excuse me," I said opening my locker causing her to stumbling sideways, "I need to get to my stuff to help Adrian goodbye."

I said before walking away, right as I started walking to Adrian's locker I noticed a girl standing there already helping him with his stuff.

Adrian's smiles as her as they both walk together down the hall. I stared at them as they walked to the classroom.

I pursed my lips, as I turned around and saw Felix staring at me from his locker with a look that I couldn't put my finger on.

I smiled at him and waved as he waved back before walking into my class, ignoring a strange feeling I was getting. When I walked into my class, I saw Zach sitting down with an empty seat next to him that he saved for me.

I still couldn't stop thinking about Felix though. Zach broke up with Jackie, Adrian broke up with D'Arcy, so why wasn't Felix breaking up with Allie? Did he truly like her?
