Hey readers!  Thanks so much for reading this far out.  We haven't been having classes for almost the entire week and I think I'll celebrate a little.  Plus, I need to finish this story before October 31 (Watty) and I really don't like cramming (except when it comes to studying, I do that all the time).  Anyway, I'll be uploading a chapter today and another one tomorrow and next week, you'll also get two chapters.  So, like usual, enjoy :)

 Flashback~

Derek smiled as he answered my question. I was right.

"Are you proposing to Lindsey?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He nodded and bought the ring.
I can't believe it.  I've come so far just to watch everything shatter once this man asks for my ex-girlfriend's hand.
It's time.  I don't care if it seems wrong or if there are any other internal or external obstacles coming in my way. It's time to show Lindsey the letter.
I can’t let this whole proposal destroy everything I worked so hard for.  Once Lindsey sees that ring, she’ll get confused, accept the proposal and then, everything would be ruined.  I can’t destroy a marriage.  That’s pretty hard core.  That means I have to convince Lindsey to come back to me before Derek proposes to her.
I dismissed myself as Derek had to go to several other places.  I rushed to the hotel where Danny and I were to stay in.  Danny. Oh gosh, I forgot about him.  I’ve been going through everything and my best friend doesn’t know a thing.
“There you are!”  Danny cried as I rushed into our hotel room.  “Where have you been?!  You just dumped me like that, Chris!  I was so worried about you, man! Not cool!”
“I saw Lindsey.” I said.
I could tell now that he wasn’t so mad anymore.  His face was just left in shock.  “Seriously?  You’re  not hallucinating or anything?”
I had to hit his head this time.  Hallucinating?  Really?  “Yes, seriously.”
“And did you catch up to her and profess your love and it’s a happily ever after now?”
I grabbed the map from Danny’s backpack and slumped down to my bed.  “Not exactly.”
“Elaborate please.”
“I caught up to Lindsey but…”
“It’s not what you expected?”  Danny predicted.  How can this guy know me like the back of my head?
“She has a boyfriend and this guy…is going to propose to her.”
“PROPOSE?!” He yelled out.
I nodded solemnly.
He paced around in panic.  I know romance wasn’t exactly his field of interest but maybe he wanted to get off this trip as soon as possible.  “The letter.  That’s the solution.”
I was left with my mouth hanging open.  What would she say once she saw that the letter was actually with me.  That the mission she thought would never be achieved, just an outlet for her hurt feelings, had actually come to me.  Would she thought that this was destiny?  That we were meant to be together?
Danny turned to me.  “The letter is your solution.  Once she sees that it’s with you, all she’ll think of is her past memories, how happy you two were, how it was stupid of her to break up with you in the first place.  Once she sees the letter, you’ll get a big fat reunion and I’m gonna be the best man at your wedding and this is gonna end in a happily ever after.  Do you get me, Reed?!”
