You Belong with Me

Part One - Chapter Thirteen: Dixon Wilson

Alexa held back a laugh as Cristiano scowled at Nani, who was sat next to her, Nani had accompanied Cristiano home from training wanting to meet the blonde that had made his friend so happy.

“Cheer up Cris,” Nani said as he rested a hand on the back of the couch teasingly close to Alexa; she bite her lip to keep herself from laughing at the look on Cristiano’s face.

It had all too clear that Cristiano wasn’t happy about how close Nani was sat to his girlfriend and he was moments from chucking Nani out of the house for even attempting to touch Alexa.

Cristiano was growing increasingly close with Alexa and her brothers warning had set him on edge; it made him extra protective of his relationship with Alexa.

There was now only a week before Jennifer was due to marry her fiancé and Alexa hadn’t been surprised that her sister had insisted that Cristiano attend with her; it was for the publicity and nothing more.

Nani smirked, he hadn’t believed Rooney when he had said that Cristiano had a girlfriend; hell he had thought it was one of his exes until he had been told she was blonde.

“Don’t you have your own girlfriend to go home and annoy?” Cristiano snapped irritated, Alexa raised an eyebrow at him as she watched Nani smirk at his best friend.

Nani shrugged as he looked at his obviously jealous friend, he could see that maybe he was pushing Cristiano a little too much and he was going to have to stop.

“Daniela’s at work,” Nani said making Cristiano look at his friend; they both knew she had been working a lot recently and spending a lot of time away from Nani.

Alexa’s mobile started to ring making them both look at her; she rolled her green eyes as she moved out of the living room to answer it.

“She seems nice… not like the other girls you usually date,” Nani said making Cristiano smile at him, Nani was all too aware the kind of girls Cristiano used to date.

The two sat in silence for a moment, it was clear Cristiano was listening to Alexa’s phone conversation; he knew it was probably her family and he hoped it wasn’t her sister again.

Cristiano didn’t like the attention that Jennifer was paying to him as her wedding grew closer; he hated what she did to her sister especially forcing her to lose weight.

“She did what?” Alexa squeaked making the two footballers look in her direction concerned; they glanced at each other before Cristiano moved to check on his girlfriend.

“Amor?” Cristiano asked as he looked at her, he didn’t like the look on her face; Alexa glanced at him and took a deep breath, she couldn’t believe her mother had done this.

“You’re sure?” Alexa asked as Cristiano moved towards her concerned; he didn’t like this and he wanted to know what was going on right now.

“Sure… I’ll be right there,” Alexa said before she hung up; Cristiano watched as she took a deep breath and looked at him, he knew something had happened.

“My mother invited me ex to the wedding,” Alexa said making Cristiano frowned as her words, he had known Martha had been far too quiet recently and now the reason had come to light.

“I’ll be heading home then… see you tomorrow at training,” Nani said sensing that there were things that needed to be done; he didn’t want to get under their feet while they dealt with the arrival of the ex-boyfriend.

As soon as Nani had left, Alexa turned to Cristiano who was watching her; she needed to go home and deal with this, she didn’t want Dixon hanging around.

“I need you to take me home,” Alexa said, she could tell he didn’t want to but they didn’t have a choice; it was better than Dixon turning up at the house or confronting them in public.

Cristiano sighed as he nodded moving to fetch his car keys; he had no intention of leaving her alone with this ex-boyfriend or her mother.

“Cris?” Alexa asked him as he returned to her side; he quickly kissed her lips, she smiled at him softly knowing that she would ask him later.

“Let’s get this over with,” Cristiano said making her nod, Cristiano had never wanted to put her in this position but her mother was being difficult.

Alexa shifted nervously as she stood outside her grandparent’s house, she didn’t know what it was but she really wasn’t looking forward to this. Cristiano rang the doorbell since he could sense that Alexa wouldn’t be doing it herself, she forced a smile at him as the door opened.

Alexa frowned as she looked at her ex-boyfriend, Dixon Wilson, who smirked at her; the blonde swallowed as Cristiano glared at the man before them.

“Hello Alexandria,” Dixon greeted ignoring Cristiano completely, while Alexa couldn’t help but wonder what had made her mother contact him.

Dixon frowned as he watched as an arm pull Alexa to a chest, he looked at the man that stood next to her as if not expecting him to be there at all; Martha had warned him about the new boyfriend and Dixon was a little impressed.

“Thanks for bring Alexandria home… she’s always getting a little lost,” Dixon said making Cristiano frowned at his words, it was as if he was scolding a child and not talking about a grown woman.

The footballer gently tightened his grip around her waist, he didn’t want this man anywhere near her.

“Dixon… what are you doing here?” Alexa asked as she felt Cristiano draw her closer to him, she could tell that he didn’t like the look of her ex-boyfriend.

Dixon pursed his lips lightly as he stared at Alexa; she looked different from the last time they had seen each other, he couldn’t believe he had tracked her down again.

“I’m here to see you silly,” Dixon said as if talking to a child as he made a move towards her but Cristiano pulled her away from him; Dixon glared at the tall footballer not liking what he was doing.

“Dixon we broke up… you started dating Laura Jones,” Alexa said, she hated that he was here and so close to her family; he was dangerous and she knew better than to fall for his lies again.

“I missed you… and when your mum gave me a call, I thought we could get back together,” Dixon said as he ran a hand through his hair, making Cristiano glare at him.

Now he definitely didn’t like the man, it was as if Alexa was a play thing to him and he thought that he could have her whenever he wanted; something that Cristiano wasn’t going to let him do now that Alexa was his girlfriend.

Martha appeared and forced a smile to her face at Cristiano and Alexa; she smirked pleased that everything had worked out so well for them.

“Your back… Alexandria why don’t you thank Cristiano for his hospitality,” Martha said as if her daughter was going to willingly take Dixon back.

Cristiano glared at her, there was no way in hell he was leaving her here with them; he didn’t know what would happen if he did. Alexa shook her head; she wasn’t going to stay here not while her ex-boyfriend was about.

“Actually mum… I’m dating Cristiano now,” Alexa said making Martha look between her daughter and the footballer, this wasn’t what she had been expecting even if Alexa had been staying with Cristiano for weeks now.
