It was apparent that no matter how promising Zara sounded that she would help, she would not.
Thomas knew that as well and that was why he did not leave immediately and stayed to help Zaide.
To Thomas, Zaide seemed a bit too quiet at the moment.
When Zara left, saying she was tired, without doing anything, Thomas turned, almost bumping into Zaide.
"Are you okay?" Thomas asked. Zaide only nodded. "Sure?"
Zaide smiled. "Sure."
Zaide's smile lit up the whole room for Thomas, as usual, and as usual, Thomas forgot everything else around him.
These feelings surpassed "confusion level" a long time ago.
