Thomas stopped his car in front of Siddiki house for the second time that day. Zaide looked at his house and then turned towards Thomas.
"Thank you." The smaller boy smiled at Thomas.
"How was your detention?" Thomas just wanted to be sure that everything was alright in there.
"Being in the same room as Seven is never good." Zaide sighed.
"Did he do something?" Although the younger boy shook his head, Thomas could not shake off the feeling that something had happened.
"Bill was there to stop him." He replied, looking down at his hands and Thomas felt anger towards himself.
Something did happen and he was not there. He made a mental note to keep an eye on Zaide for all time.
"Good. I'm glad that you're okay." Thomas said as he ruffled Zaide's hair.
Zaide turned red. "I better get going."
He was out of the car and into his house in a second.
