"Honey, you'll be late for school." Molly said as she knocked on the door before opening it.
Zaide groaned and curled up more into Thomas' chest. He was not ready to go to school yet.
"I'm not going." Thomas replied like a five year old looking at his mother, pleading, as he understood what Zaide wanted.
Zaide pushed himself away a little to look up at Thomas. "No, you should."
After a short debate with Zaide and his mother, Thomas had to surrender, it was decided from the start that he was fighting a losing battle, and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
"What's he gonna do at home all day?" Thomas asked his mother, too worried to leave him alone.
"We're both going to tidy up the guest room and go for shopping if he needs anything." Molly said, patting Zaide's hair lightly, lovingly.
"Well, best of luck. I'm off to school, then." He said before giving Zaide a kiss on the temple and placed one on his mom's cheek, he headed for the school.
