Thomas scowled at Zaide, seeing his reaction. He had come a couple of times and wanted to climb through the window to meet the younger boy, but it was the first time he succeeded.
"Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" Zaide said, dramatically placing a hand over his rapidly beating heart.
"Shut up. Aren't you supposed to be asleep by now?" He was still half hanging, outside Zaide's window.
"Aren't you too? What're you doing?" Zaide whisper-yelled.
"Trying to play cricket. What do you think?" Thomas retorted.
"I think some part of my mind is laughing at your sarcasm."
"Mine too. Come here." Thomas commanded.
Zaide's heart rate sped up.
