The next day when Zaide entered the school, he immediately noticed his two best friends standing in the hallway, next to their lockers, talking a little defeatedly.
"Hey, what happened?" Zaide asked, unsure of the situation.
"Rome's dad forbade them to meet from when Dan's gonna turn eighteen till Rome's an adult." Alisha explained.
Rome looked sad. "He actually didn't forbid, just told us not to, you know, until I'm old enough."
"Ew!" Alisha shouted. "Your 'you know' part made my mind wander somewhere else."
"Your mind always goes to "somewhere else". I'm sure you know what I meant, right, Zaide? Zaide?" Rome called when the boy did not reply.
How could he explain to his friends that he might have to go through the same problem?
