❝violent uncontrollable creatures❞Everyone was called to the table, sitting by their respectful name cards. Cassandra was sat on the left side of Ethan, Simon on the right side while Ethan sat at the end of the table. The other four boys sat further down the table and Brad just wanted to move the man sat next to Cassandra and sit by her side instead, but his girl had made him promise to sit where he was meant to so that there was no trouble.
"We can leave after the dinner," Cassandra reassures the boys as the five of them all walk slowly towards the table. "Then we'll go home, yeah?"
"Yeah," Brad nods, pressing a kiss to her lips before being shown towards his seat, their fingers slipping out of each other's grasp.
"How's your night been?" Ethan asks as he stands by Cassandra's chair. Simon wasn't at the table yet as he helped chauffeuring people to their seats.
Cassandra nods slowly, "it's been okay."
"I'm glad," Ethan takes off his red mask that he'd changed into. "It won't be long until you leave, I bet you're excited."
She bites her tongue so that she doesn't say anything rude, nodding at him as she sits down. He smirks down at her before sitting in his seat also, waiting for everyone to be seated.
The hall was filled with loud chattering but Ethan silences everyone as he notices all the seats are taken up. A fork clinks against his glass as he rises up from his chair.
"Tonight, we are here to celebrate," he says confidently, his voice echoing through the silent hall as he speaks. "We celebrate a new start, a new power, and a new life. Over these past few weeks, we have managed to take ahold of the powers out superiors once had, and made ourselves equal. We are no longer inferiors, and that is all thanks to this young lady down here."
Cassandra looks down at her empty plate as everyone stares at her.
"There are few Elementums in this room tonight with us," Ethan continues. "A dying breed, definitely. But as their kind become more of a minority, their powers get stronger and become more of a threat. By becoming their equal, we can control their erratic behaviour that will surely follow after and help protect humans from danger.
"Elementums are nothing but violent, uncontrollable creatures," Ethan glances towards the four boys. "Our goal is to bring a stop to their kind and the threat they bring upon our land. Tonight, we celebrate the new life that was have created for humans—a life without Elementums."
Cassandra glances up to Ethan cautiously, her stomach twisting. What did he mean?
"My father's goal was to maintain the balance of nature Elementums bring but also get rid of their kind," Ethan concludes. "And, unfortunately, my father can't be here to witness his dream come true, I will only pursue his plan of protection."
