What are you doing here so late at night?" A manly voice said interrupting your thoughts
You whipped your head back. You didn't really pay attention to his face, only his uniform. The lieutenant colonel, leader of the Japanese Imperial Demons, your boss.
"Forgive me, lieutenant," You hesitated "I couldn't fall asleep so I found myself out here..." You trailed off
"It's alright, you do know you're not in trouble..."He chuckled
You were put at ease, letting your shoulders fall.
"I have a name, ya know. What position and team are you on?" he asked curiously
"My name is (y/n), (l/n), sir. I'm a rank two soldier, no team currently." You responded
He looked at you stunned. You looked confused, you didn't say anything wrong...right? You finally looked up to see his face. (Do take in mind you have never seen him before.) He was well featured, with raven colored hair parted down the middle, and dark purple eyes. He was maybe a couple inches taller then you.

"(Y/n)....? Is that you...?" The lieutenant muttered
"Sir..? Are you okay?" You asked him worriedly
He seemed like he knew you, but you couldn't seem to remember him at all.Just then you heard footsteps slowly approaching. The person was coming closer. They seemed to be humming to themself.
"Guren~ Where did you go?" The voice pouted
The lieutenant commander seemed to snap back in reality when he heard the voice. He groaned.
"Yes, Shinya?" He replied lazily
"Guren! Found you~" The man named Shinya said happily
Something suddenly snapped, something finally made you remember. The name you heard constantly,
"Guren"
Why was it so familiar??? What about this guy made you remember so many things? Was he the person you made a promise with? You decided to restate the promise.
"Promise to not forget me...?" You whispered
Guren looked at you and took you in an embrace. It felt warm and safe. Suddenly out of nowhere he picks you up and throws you over his shoulder like a bag of trash.
"W-wait..! Lemme go!" You demanded
"Nope. I'm enjoying the view." He replied
"Pervert! You can't just hug me after finally seeing me and throw me over your shoulder!" You yelled
"Well. I just did." He smirked
You remembered something else. He used to do this to you eight years ago. But still..it was embarrassing.
"So much for sleeping..." You groaned
